If you are trying to kill it but don't have a mosa, try constantly attacking it near its head above its eye, (won't work with tames with a large turning radius) it won't be able to reach you with its tentacles and theres a chance it might get stuck attacking that way until you move again.

This thing nearly killed me I had to hack my way out of the problem

If u are scared of these and u have an really good spino ur WEAK i killed one lv 70 and it was one of the easiest encounter i have ever seen an mosa was more challenge.
