A 150 took 35 mins between bolas and kibble feed. Don’t get too close - you need to punch to get away which resets the taming bar. Also only keeping it caught under a ceiling with 2 columns seemed to work. If it can fly up and flee even in a larger trap. taming % plummeted quickly.

I used a double door frame trap with a dino gate and ceilings owl to kite owl can fly through the double doors np

Though no data is available, the Tropeo is breedable, rideable, however not carryable by any other animal/dinosaur.

Feeding inteverals are actually 20 mins long instead of five. I’m was taming 145 male tropo. On 1x taming. Official server. And after first feeding the next feeding to get to 14 percent take even longer. About an hour. After that comes 20 min feeding intervals. And I used raw mutton.

Mutton takes the same Time frame in between feeds as kibble but gives less percentage so the timer is wrong for food choices.

It seems that the stats here are wrong. It won't accept a second serving of prime meat after 5 minutes.

When tameing the trop use a normal bola and place 3 pillars with a ceiling in a triangle close to the trop then place a slope ramp in center so he can’t get out. When feeding him first see how far his hungry goes to feed him and that is the time to feed.

10 min tame for max level

1. bola and trap

2. Shoot it twice

3. Bola and watch it poop

4. Feed kibble and let it break free

5. Bola again and feed kibble

100% taming efficiency in less than 10nmins

Timer is way off. Estimated 8:30 intervals for me and I’ve been waiting over 30 min for my second feeding

2 dino gates with doors to trap and use gap to shoot bola,btw wait minute between bolas to makes sure it’s ready to eat otherwise you waste your metal bolas fast

Passive tame prompt will NOT show up unless it is hit with a Chain Bola. Tested flying next to Tropeo in wild, and using regular bolas. Lure it to a Balista and use Chain Bolas. But be careful of it's grab! It will absolutely shred your armor.

When tameing be careful that can pick you off your tame

I have found the best way to tame the tropeo is to get on a griffin fly to the one you want use a normal bola to ground it then make a trap with the dino gates around it wait until the normal bola is off then use the chain bola and then feed it. It works for me every time

For taming it’s best to go to an area where you won’t be disturbed often, preferably ontop of a hill or cliff. Make a trap similar to a classic argentavis trap (I highly suggest using mental structures though). On one end you’ll have your gate, as usual, but on the other end have a turret loaded with a chain bola on a metal foundation in such a way that will prevent there being enough space for the tropeo to fly out. Once you lure the tropeo close enough to the trap, run and mount the turret, face it into the trap, and once the tropeo flies in bola it. Quickly close the gate. Be careful walking around the trap, as if it grabs you you’ll have to hit it to get free which will mess up the taming. It’s ready to be fed once it says “doesn’t want to be tamed right now”. You then have to chain bola it again in order to be able to feed it. This is easiest with two people, as it will target whoever last chained it, allowing the other person to safely feed it.

If they are high in the sky use a quetzal with a ballista on its platform saddle. Chain bola it and use a wing suit to follow it down. Place stone dino gates over the tropeo and block the two ends with doors. Make sure to leave a gap between the dino gates that is wide enough to shoot a chain bola through. Then proceed to tame it by shooting it with another chain bola and feeding it exceptional kibble. I solo tamed one this way but more people would make this method easier. Tip: If you do this solo have your quetzal on follow and passive.

Regular bolas do work to trap it. You can't feed it til you use a chain bola but it gives you enough time to place gates & set up the ballista turret.

Spawn anywhere with tappys, usually walking about.

Walk up to it, set your balista turret & bola it.

Then put few dino gates over and cage it👌🏽 do not go near unless bolad, it will grab you and butcher your armour😂😂

Get a ballista and get a chain bola it can be that way and then place 3 dinosaur gates in a triangle once it has been caught by the chain bola and a few pillars with a ceilings on them so it blocks off the top and then place pillars blocking the door and then get rid of the dinosaur gates’ doors and then have a gillie it will help then have either exceptional or extraordinary kibble to tame it and then its just the waiting game.
