At lvl 72 with flak armor on, a lvl 5 Troodon knocked me out with one attack at night. Last thing I saw was those glowing eyes before passing out. My Guess is that they attack vital organs. Luckily my Doedicarus was up for a game of baseball and launched that little devil out into the stands.
Me and my Carnotaurus went out on an adventure together for the first time and around 4 troodons and a raptor attacked us. He couldn’t attack them because because his turn radius is bad, so I jumped off to try and save him from dying. After I respawned I went back with my pteranodon to try and get my stuff back but before I could escape my carnotaurus and my pteranodon died (a dilophosaur snuck up on my pteranodon while I was trying to save my carno) which left me stranded to die again. I will never go back there again.
To be frank, I kill them whenever they're on my base. I'm a week into Ascended, got some Giganotoraptors, Raptors, Carnos, Ptera, and my sentry Para who loves detecting danger. (Currently on a rescue mission for Ptera in redwoods, I'll be taming a spino and immediately get the saddle)
I used to want to tame one of these lil' shits on mobile, but now that I'm on Ascended, I know the 'high risk low reward' kind of thing.
Well apparently, one was a juvenile, and deep down I still had that sense of wanting to tame one of these cute murderers. A few days ago when I was new, I tamed two Dilos for my mom, "Pewpew" and "Powpow" who sadly both died to Deinotheriums (bless their souls, I'm on a mission to get an Acro and Carcha as replacements), for the silly fun and a pet vibe. They were cute, I'll admit.
This Troodon I found gave me the same vibe, so I keep it for a pet. Female too! Still looking for a suitable name.
Baby dinos really help with hard tames, such as Theris, Rex's, etc, instead of the devious process of taming the adult. This was an opportunity to good to pass. ^^

(Awesome. And stop calling me that!! It’s not like I’m your boss or, whatever.)
“Wow, we haven’t done this in forever!”
“Obviously! You just realized? It’s been about a month since our discovery of the ‘CAMERA.’ ”
“Right, right.” Ziggy mumbles.
“Shh, let’s continue!” Troop whispers.
“Hello mini boxed-up travelers! (or whatever) Today, we are going to check out the DAAAAAANG-erous red woods!”
“Uh, troop, you never said we were-(COME ON, ZIG! We can never miss out on a good adventure.)”
“Fine, but if WE get in trouble, it’s all on you.”
“Pfft, whatever, dude. Come on!” Troop squawks as they squirm right into the red woods full of ragged looking creatures such as the terror bird.
I was wandering around trough the forest with my dodo and dilophosaurus when the Troodons attacked me, so then I died and brought my buddy (moschops around lvl 70) and did attack target. Unfortunately I lost them when the Troodons were dead so this is why they are the most horrible creatures in ark
Went to go grab a drop during the night on my dragon. I was wearing full Master Craft Flak Gear and two bites from these little sneaky bitches and I passed out. Luckily my dragon was on nuetral. Unluckily that it's fire breath roasted me too. Lesson learned:

If you see glowing eyes at night in a forest stay away or your grave gets dug these glowing eyes belong to the troodon’s just for a warning if you get bitten your torpor will knock you out and they will feast on you and then you’re so dead. I’ve died millions of times to these so stay away from those glowing eyes in a forest
