What are some stories about the trilobite? Memorable trilobite stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
Ultimus Chapter Two: The Orders
In the middle of the International Forest. Hidden in a blind by a lake, was Kim with several thousands of dollars worth of equipment for studying wildlife. She looked through a pair of binoculars, studying every inch of the lakeside for any sort of animal taking a drink from the lake’s shore. But with no success in seeing any. This last month had been a disappointment for any discoveries, just like the last four before it. Since she was assigned here two years ago, she has spotted 131 vertebrate species with 87 being aquatic and 527 invertebrate species with 390 being aquatic.
To most of her knowledge from the Terran Federation database, this covered nearly 80% of all wild animal species left after the war. And 30% of all living life on Earth after the war. Both are disgracefully low percentages to what they once were. The whole Earth was going to hell, and every species was dying out faster than damn mayflies except for one species. And no one could explain it. The Federation has been pushing her to look harder for more wildlife, but she has looked under every rock, plant matter, nook, and cranny in this Forest. There wasn’t a lot more that could hide in this 150 square-mile park.
She had been sitting there for over three hours without seeing anything and she didn’t expect anything to come until late in the night. She quickly set up some cameras where she was to watch this side of the lake overnight. She called it a day for sitting in the blind and got into her ATV, she decided she would set up a few more cameras near and around the lake before heading home for the day.
~
She arrived home a couple of hours later and saw Andrew playing with his dog in their yard. Though it looked more like the dog wanted to play and Andrew was on the ground in exhaustion. She got out of the ATV and went into their house. She closed the door and went to Hunter’s office and didn’t find Hunter at his desk. Something unusual for this time of day. She went and looked for him around the house for several minutes before finding him lying on the bed sleeping. This is one of the first times in a long time he looked peaceful. She smiled at the sight of this and decided that she would make dinner and leave him be for the time.
Kim went back into the kitchen and got the food that she was going to use for dinner. She started preparing them when she heard a pinging sound come from one of the other rooms. She walked out and found that the noise was coming from Hunter’s office. She went around his desk and saw that there was an unread email on the computer. She opened it without hesitation and found it was addressed to her. As she read it, she trembled and collapsed into the chair. This was something that she and her husband were trying to hold back for as long as possible. Now there was no more holding it back. She had just got her orders for reassignment, to Project Genesis.
Tales of Pandora
Origins of Salizar: chapter 12 ~trackers~
“Agent Fox, that animal has murdered a dozen of my best men and my chief scientist, I want it put down.” King Drake said. “Yes sir, does this mean we have permission?” She replied. “Yes, you may use the trackers.” He said.
Salizar heard howling coming from the south, he cursed under his breath. “The trackers, should've known…” he said. He grabbed his gear and went outside, he ran to the river and tried to clean his scent. He climbed a nearby redwood tree and waited.
“I smell the target..” said a voice from below. “The scent stops here!” Another voice chimed in. “Hold on.” The first said. “what?” Asked a third. “I can still smell something.” “Where?” “Up…” the three direwolves all looked up at Salizar, they growled. “Hey you!” The second said. “Get down here!” Said the first. “Why? So you can kill me? I think not.” Said Salizar. “Well, you’ll have to come down sometime…” said the first. “Perhaps, but how about when I come down you don’t kill me?” Salizar said. “Not an option, we have our orders.” Said the first, who was clearly the lead wolf. “What if we strike a bargain?” Salizar said. “What could you do for us!?” Asked the second with a bit of a laugh. “You take this, -he ripped a piece of Primalis’s cloak and threw it down- and tell your masters that I’m dead.” Salizar said. “What do we get in return?” Said the leader. “I’ll give you your freedom.” He said noting their chained collars. “I don’t know if your as smart as they say, or if your just crazy. But I think we have a deal.” The lead wolf said. “You won’t regret it.” Salizar said with a fake grin.
“See boss, no biggie! The trackers took care of him.” Said agent Raptor. “They didn’t bring much back..” said agent Fox. “You think the monkey’s still alive?” Agent Reed asked. Fox shot a suspicious glance at the wolves. “Perhaps.. tell King Drake it’s a confirmed kill, but let’s not stop our patrols.” Agent Fox said. “What if he is alive, the king will not be happy.” Agent Raptor said. “If he’s alive we kill him before anyone finds out.” Fox said. “Yes Ma’m!” The other two said.
-two months later-
The portal opened, the victorious humans cheered as they returned from their battle victorious, the body of the megapithicus lay at the heels of their rexes. Then one of the riders glanced over and saw him, Ryker. Just his eyes which glowed yellow in the shadow of the trees. “Y-Yutyrannus!” The soldier shouted. Ryker stepped into the clearing slowly, his eyes blank and yellow. “Is it one of ours?” Asked a soldier. “No, on my order fire.” King Drake said. Ryker opened his jaw slowly slightly shaking it and growling. “Why’s it actin like that?” A soldier said. “On my mark.” Said King Drake raising his arm. Ryler roared, a horrible terrifying roar, it seemed to attack their very souls, them and their tames ran in terror, some of the soldiers even jumped off their mounts to get away, but ended up getting trampled in the process. “Why didn’t we do that with the spider? Would’ve saved Wretch some trouble.” Said Killion. “So many questions, because Killion, Yutyrannus are not native to the jungle and if we did this twice they would get suspicious.” Ryker said irritably. “The last piece, all ours..” Asher said. “Yes, now we can finally leave this place behind.” Ryker said. “Next up we should go somewhere warmer, it’s cold here.” Ras said. “We were in a desert last, not fun.” Asher said. “Well not that warm! Just something a bit more tropical you know what I’m sayin?” Ras said. The four began the trek back to their cave, little did they know Salizar was following them.
There's only one thing I will ever say about these Little turds. Whoever decided that they would fling Into the Depths of the cruel ocean in ASE when you kill them, I hope they get trapped in a box full of the glowing jellyfish that I rightfully call sea demons. And I only say this because I'm just over here terrorizing these little buggers witn my carcha but every time I kill them and I just so happen to be on the very edge of land, they would get lost in the embass and thanks to my lack of ocean creatures and severe fear of those glowing jellyfish, I end up losing out on Those delicious black pearls
Trilobite life. Chapter 1 the beginning
There never seems to be enough to eat these days ever since these new devilish piranhas have invaded our home they have chased us away we now feed on scraps of dead fish and/or sea weed. But the predatory fish aren’t the only danger. Animals form the surface have begun to hunt us but not too commonly. Accept for one of them, humans...we flee from there territory very often as most humans make there home near large water sources. One day I was just out playing with my family and then suddenly my brother starts to telling us to leave the area immediately. Before I even have time to question this order I see a large baryonyx starts tearing through the water and starts killing the piranhas. Me and the rest of us leave in a huge hurry, same with all the fish there too. Well I’ve fled to herbivore island I guess my new life in this old island is just beginning let’s make the most of it. I settle in and prepare for survival here
Journey: Chapter 14
“Get our prisoners out of here before we’re all dead.” Mira ordered her soldiers and they immediately took them and started going down the ramp. The noise got loader and the they saw wings over the ridge. The soldiers started moving faster, but it was too late.
A rhyniognatha roared and began shooting the Troodons with a sticky amber-like substance. The troops began to panic and as they did the bug looked at Nightfall and Forest, Forest recognized it as the one he saw fly over the swamp a while ago. It then flew towards the both of them. It picked them up and carried them off. The troodons were so disorganized and frightened that they barely noticed what had happened.
Forest watch as he saw almost all the Troodons run into the woods all except for one, Mira. He stared at her for a moment until he noticed that Nightfall was being very quiet, he look to see Nightfall passed out in the leg of the rhynio.
The rhynio continued to fly in silence until she broke it. “Saw you back in the swamp and thought I would watch to see what would happen. Be glad I did.” She said, “How did you-” “Your cloaking ability isn’t so good with sunlight reflecting off the water. Instead of glare, there was a rock drake shape in the water that wasn’t glaring when it should been.” The large insect said. They continued on for a while longer in silence.
~
Forest was in the air feeling the wind, he had never really felt true flight and thought it was amazing. He heard moans from his right, Nightfall was getting up. Nightfall quickly went from limp to panicking as he quickly grabbed the claw that was holding him and began to scream in a different language.
“Sounds like your friend just got up from falling asleep.” The rhynio said. “What happened? Are we dead? This isn’t what I thought would happen when we die!!” Nightfall said yelling.
“I saved you. you’re not dead yet. And if you keep panicking, you’ll die of a heart attack.” The rhynio said.
“Even worse!! We’re going to die being surrogate implants!!! If I am going to die, I at least want to know your name.” Nightfall said.
“Good grief, I am not going to use you!! I just saved you from the crazy troodons that had you dead to rights!!! And my name is Nectar, so there.” She said as she flew.
“Nice to meet you Nectar, my name is Forest.” Forest said with a smile.
“Nice to meet you Forest.” Nectar said
“Well Nectar, I don’t believe you and I think you might be wor-”, “Seriously, you’re accusing me that I am going to use you two as surrogates. Well I’m not and if you really don’t want to be dropped from up here and die. I suggest you, Mr. nightcrawler in Microraptor size. Don’t talk.” Nectar said aggressively at Nightfall.
Nightfall mumbled and groaned and shifted around so his face facing away from anyone else’s. “So why did you save us?” Forest asked, “Like I said before, I saw you in the swamp. A little while later, I start hunting and come across an army of troodons and see you guys surrounded. I thought you looked like you needed help so I helped.” Nectar said.
Forest was just about to say thank you when he noticed something about her, marks or scars that go around in a band. He looked at her a little more, her body was covered with these marks and he noticed something around her leg. A piece of leather strap that was painted blue. “Your a tame?” Forest asked, “I was, but not anymore.” Nectar replied.
“Since you’re probably wondering, My owner died. Went into a big cave with an army of his dinosaurs, I waited for him for days, nothing came out. I waited for a week after until I gave up, I ripped off my saddle and flew off to go find food.” Nectar said with her voice cracking as she said it, “I’m sorry that happened to you.” Forest said.
“Well that sometimes happens, sometimes they came back. Sometimes, they never leave where they drop. Now where am I taking you two so that I can get rid of you two and not bring up memories I don’t want to remember.” Nectar said.
Nightfall turned towards her “Take us to the Volcano, I have one more idea for you to leave Forest.” Nightfall said, “What did I-, Ah who gives an Ammonite, I’ll take you to the entrance into the Volcano.” Nectar said as she redirected herself towards the volcano.

Chapter 63: Looking for Chris! Promise Keeper Ben Dies on The Battlefield!
Part 2/2
“Huh? Where?” Layla asked. All three girls looked at where Ben was pointing. Ben made a mad dash for it, leaving the three scouts in the dust.
“What the? Hey, where’d he- GET HIM!”
Ben swung his arms back and forth, panting heavily as he sprinted for his freedom.
“OMG I can’t believe they fell for that!” Ben thought to himself happily.
Wizz!!! Pluck!
Ben felt his heart drop as an arrow pierced his heel, and he collapsed to the grass. Ben let out a groan, and loud pounding footsteps approached. Boom! Boom! Boom! Ben turned around and saw Sleepyhead open her jaws. She bit at Ben, but Ben quickly rolled to the side.
“Hey, hey hey hey stop Sleepyhead! We can’t let her kill him!” Lizzy cried out.
“Sleepyhead! Stop that! NOW!” Layla screamed. Layla shot a sneer at Patricia.
“Why’d you shoot him? If he dies, ALL OF US will be killed! Let him run and we can always get him later!”
“I’m sorry-”
Ben couldn’t bother listening in on their argument. He weaved and dodged Sleepyhead’s quick and swift attacks. Disoriented and drowsy, she didn’t seem much to coordinate her attacks. As Ben weaved from another bite, he slammed his fist into Sleepyhead’s eye. Sleepyhead let out a cry of pain, backing away and screeching like a banshee.
Ben felt blood drip down his shoe, and he grabbed the shaft of the arrow and snapped it off.
“Emergencies only,” Ben reminded himself. Vines ensnared his foot, patching up the wound. Ben quickly got up from the ground, but not before feeling a sharp blade cut away at his throat.
SLASH!
Ben’s eyes wavered, and they began to quiver as he felt blood drip down his neck. He grabbed at his throat, and looked on in horror to see Lizzy clutching onto a bloodied spear. She seemed just as terrified as him.
“LIZZY!” Layla roared, “What have you DONE?!”
Lizzy was speechless. Ben’s vision clouded, and his mind began to go haywire. He found himself struggling to breathe. He turned away and made a run for it again.
Into the deep forest, Ben trampled bushes and flowers alike. His legs began to get weaker, and his memory getting fuzzier. With one final push, he collapsed to the ground.
~
“No no no, he can’t be dead!” Layla screamed. The three scouts rushed into the forest, searching every bush and hiding spot for the fatally wounded man.
“If we can find him on time, maybe we can bring him back and-” Layla paused as she stared at the base of a tree’s trunk.
“No no no no,” Layla muttered.
Sitting at the base of the tree was Ben, his head hung low and a clear cut on his neck. Blood seeped down onto his black graduation robe, which was getting more and more bloodier. His implant was completely dim.
Patricia quickly put her index finger and middle finger on Ben’s neck. There was no pulse.
Ben was dead.
“Patricia, please tell me he’s alive,” Layla muttered.
Patricia didn’t respond. She got up from the ground.
“We have to go back.”
“And what then? June will KILL us! You know how much she loves this guy! She talks about him and dreams about him every day and night. And we can’t lie our way out of it, General Wyvern will just sniff us out!” Layla shouted. Lizzy began to cry and sob, and tears trailed down her face.
“I’m sorry, I’m so so sorry… I didn’t want this to happen…”
“We have to return, there’s nowhere else for us to go. We can’t survive on our own, can we?” Layla whispered, hopeless.
“We can’t,” Patricia said. She hooked her bow on her back, “Let’s go.”
Patricia was the first to depart. Then, Layla. Lizzy looked at Ben one last time. He looked really peaceful. Was that how death felt? Some form of regret hung in his lifeless eyes though. Lizzy could never be sure.
She turned around, and walked away, sniffling and wiping away at her face.

Chapter 63: Looking for Chris! Promise Keeper Ben Dies on the Battlefield!
Part 1/2
“Finally I’m out of that swamp,” Ben muttered to himself as he emerged from foul darkness into the light. The sun shone brightly on his face, and the grass was green and healthy, rustling back and forth with the slight wind current. Ben felt his heart thump against his chest softly, and the vines that covered his arms fell off. Ben let out a sigh of relief, and he sat down on the soft grass.
Off in the distance, south a few miles was the red Obelisk. Its glow radiated across the plains biome distinctly, casting an evil shine onto the grass. Ben would travel there soon to search for Chris. Perhaps he had gone out of his way to investigate the Obelisk… and had gotten himself into trouble. Whether it be with the Obelisk itself or nature, Ben was not sure.
“I shouldn’t create any more plants for the next 24 hours,” Ben thought to himself, “Especially not in a fight. I need to conserve my energy. I still have a long way back.”
“Hey, you!” an unfamiliar voice cried out. Ben’s head jolted around and he saw three women approach him. They wore red cloth armor and each one carried either a spear, bow, or club. Trotting behind them was a large beast with small feathers trailing from its head to its back. It was a light purplish-gray and groggily walked up behind them, carrying a saddle on its back. The Megalosaurus looked up at Ben with dull eyes.
“Who are they, and how do they know how to tame creatures?” Ben asked himself. Ben got up from the ground, and the one with the bow instantly aimed at Ben.
“Ah ah ah! Stay right there, young man! No sudden movements…” the one with the club sneered. Ben grumbled to himself in annoyance, locked in place and staring on at the three of them.
“Damn it! Who the hell are these people and why did they have to confront me at this time?” Ben cursed in his head. He glanced over at the Megalosaurus. Its eyelids were getting droopy, but its eyes fluttered open every few seconds, looking around alert.
The one with the spear whispered to the one with the club, and Ben squinted his eyes at the two of them, trying to figure out what they were saying.
“He… Matches… Description,” Ben managed to figure out what the one with the spear was saying. Ben’s eyes wandered to the one with the bow. She winced, and her hands seemed to be shaking. Ben looked her in the eyes, but before Ben could get a good read, she looked away.
“Hey, what’s your name, boy!” the one with the club asked. Ben let out a sneer.
“What kind of question is that? It’s Ben, obviously!”
The two girls’ eyes lit up, and Ben felt his heart drop.
They were looking for him for whatever reason.
“Well Ben you better surrender to us! Hands in the air, or we’ll shoot! If you try to run, we’ll shoot! If you manage to run, we’ll shoot! Or we’ll just let Sleepyhead over here eat you. Your choice!”
“What other choice do I have?” Ben wondered, “There’s three of them, and they have a dinosaur. Plus I’m not ready to use my power yet.”
Ben raised his hands in the air.
The two girls smirked, and walked forward. The one with the bow winced again. The one with the spear looked back and nodded her head toward Ben.
“Come on, Patricia. No reason to be scared, we’ve got him!”
“R-Right. Sorry Lizzy.”
“It’s okay… All that matters is we’ve got him!”
The one with the club reached for her belt as she approached Ben, taking out a pair of handcuffs. Ben stepped back, and she gave a distasteful look to Ben.
“Don’t think about it. We aren’t going to kill you or anything. Our boss is only looking for you and wants to have a ‘talk’, that’s all.”
“Layla, remember what she told us. No handcuffs, she wants him to be as comfortable as possible,” Lizzy reminded her. Ben raised his eyebrow.
“What? What does their leader want from me?” Ben pondered. Layla chuckled, and put her handcuffs back on her belt.
“Heh heh, whoops. Forgot about that. Alright, we don’t want you doing anything crazy, so we’re just gonna have you walk ahead of us. And uh, with a bow pointed at your head. No hard feelings!”
Ben stood there for a moment. Patricia lowered her bow, and Sleepyhead the Megalosaurus was still groggily standing to the side, staring at Ben hungrily. For a minute or so, they just stood there, staring at each other, until finally Layla began to tap her foot against the ground in annoyance.
“Okay, any day now!”
An idea suddenly struck Ben. Ben gasped, and pointed at the air.
“Woah, a bee!”
