It all depends, sometimes you’ll find a bunch of them, sometimes you won’t find any. They spawn very frequently near large masses of shallow water— but the water must connect to the ocean. I find them in the mouth of the rivers near shallow water. More often then not they spawn in the south or near the red obelisk if you pace yourself towards the snow biome you will definitely encounter a few along the beach.

On Aberration they are great for oil. Craft when you can a chainsaw! Harvest far more oil than any tame or weapon.

You’ll find a ton of these over time on the east side of The Island on the beach at the base of metal mountain. There’s a straight beach across and south of Carno Island. When I live there I never run out of chitin.

I can bearly find Trilobites thay are easy cithin and I wish they were tameable

The most dangerous creature. Bring similarly dangerous dodos.

Can't be picked up on mobile by anything, very sad since there's no fish baskets, so that means the closest way you can go to "keep it" as a pet is punching it and making it run into a house or building

additionally they also can't be lured by dodo arrows

When tamed via Fish basket, feed it berries, although it's hunger goes down really slowly, it's best to keep some berries on it so it eats when it needs to.

This is probably the most unfinished creature as it has unused saddle and costume slots and enable/disable mating option. The food I offered to a force tamed one was kibble (I used basic for it), so you can feed it that. The only purpose for having one would be to have a weird roomba wander around your base/house.
