You can tame in aberration with fish basket!!!!!

Tame a Moschops and harvest these for 100 or so Chitin.

They are only tameable on aberration. You can’t tame on mobile or switch but you can on PC, PS4 and/or Xbox. You tame with a. Fish bascket

These guys have infinite weight and decent health. They are basically a portable vault!

Battling this monster you might need your dodo to help you . Harvest with hatched

West zone one waters have them in mobile mostly in the stream that ties to the ocean

I want these guys for oil and pearls but I never find them

I have hundreds of chitin silca pearls and some black pearls go to beach farm these if you can't go ocean yet

If you spot one of these when 2x is active stop and kill it. High levels give 100 chitin, Oil, S pearls & B pearls.

You can find them on land next to an ocean & in shallow water. Where there's 1 their is usually a few more around aswell.

If you need to find them go to the Main land Beach oposite "herbivore island" near one of the caves.

Best way to farm chitin from these guys: use a moschops. The moschops can collect around 200 chitin for one trilobite where as using an axe will give you around 80. Only downside, moschops can't get pearls or black pearls from them, so you'll have to collect those another way.

They are the only creature near me that gives chitin

If you see one kill it can immediately so you can get oil, chitin, and pearls
