You can find these at herbivore Island around the edges in the water!

These animals are ancient! And are believed( by some) to be related to the horseshoe crab. They look alike, in some ways! Trilobites were one of the first massive sea animals around ( back then, these were considered massive, due to life still getting the hang of making non- micro sized creatures.) but eventually went extinct by an apex predator that adapted to break their rough armor, and sadly that was the end.

On the left side of the island map, there is a bit that looks a bit like a crooked finger. First of all, you can wall off the part that connects it to the rest of the island and turn the entire finger into your base. It is extremely safe and the only predators there are ichthyornises and dilos. Second of all, at the part where it connects to the rest of the island, there is a small pond surrounded by rocks and in that pond a ton of trilobites spawn. I made my base on this finger and made a chitin farm with the pond. Do with this knowledge what you will.

Harvest these guys when you can. They most likely will disappear whenever you actually need them. They’ll drop chitin, silicone pearls, and black pearls. My next tip will be more in-depth.

Very good for low level oil, chitin, some raw meat, black and white pearls collecting, but there somewhat rare to find.

I struggle to find silica pearls on the island so at one point in time I hunted these guys down to the brink of extinction. (I basically just slaughter them).

I have recently discovered that these are by far the most valuable tame for any level of player.

Why you ask? Try taming 1 and then put anything at in it's inventory and see what happens ;) also you don't have to feed them AT ALL
