Finding a trike isn’t an issue as they are common. Place a large bear trap close to a trike then hit it and lead it into the bear trap. These guys are really useful, especially for beginners, for collecting berries, thatch, wood and crops. I personally tamed mine by climbing on a rock where it can't reach me and knock it out with a slingshot or tranq arrows!

Step 1=get 5-20 tranq arrows depending on the level

Step2= shoot it with tranq arrows

Step 3=feed berries it doesn't need narcotics

Step 4= craft a saddle and enjoy

Here's how to tame a triceratops:

1. Definitely don't bola it.

2. I recommend building a trap using stone structures. Like a 4 by 6 foundation, and doorframes for the walls, make it 3 doorframes high. And build some ramps so you can lead the trike into the trap.

3. Shoot it with a tranquilizing ammo like tranq arrows or certain darts.

4. After it's knocked out, feed it berries, veggies, or preferred kibbles.

Tintoberries work well for taming but kill the taming effectiveness

I knocked mine but it started sliding into the ocean worst taming fail ever

Dododex doesn’t show likelihood to KILL triceratops with bow and stone arrow..... you can definitely kill them before knocking them out. WTH.

Don’t steal egg from this it will chase you through water land and basically everything until you die

The easiest taming dino it can be tamed with a slingshot and its saddle is very cheap it cant be paralyzed by bola but u can get on a rock and knock him and if u want faster tranq don't hit his head

So don’t try just 8 trank arrows on a lvl 23 trike it don’t work

Get trank arrow and shoot but stay at a distance and make sure not to get attacked then once knocked out put berry's in inventory.

People make it way more harder than it needs to be you just aggravate one run up a hill and because its slow, move to a part where it can't get you

DONT USE A SLINGSHOT. USE TRANQ ARROWS. Once you hit then with one rock they turn around and it’s hard to hit them anywhere else but the head (they have extra protection there so takes longer to knock out). Climb up a rock where the trike can’t get you and shoot like 5-7 tranq arrows and it’ll be knocked out. Feed berries or kibble to tame

Step 1

Find a Trike thats close to a hill

(I know you can also trap it but this takes way les time)

Step 2

Tranq it out with your slingshot bow Etc

(Dont shoot it in the head it want tranq it as much)

Step 3

Put the Berries/Veggies in the Trike

The main uses for the Trike is being a tank because of his head (His head has reduced damage) and getting berries.
