Make sure you don't shoot it in the head, it has a reduced torpidity output so it costs a lot more arrows/stone to knock it out.

A triceratops is a very special dinosaur in this game. It is easy enough to tame at a low level, yet powerful enough to take on raptors that could kill you easily. It can collect enough berries that you would never go hungry again, and still have some berries leftover to help tame more trikes. They are very slow but it can make up for it if you increase the weight, attack, and stamina stats. It is an extremely good pack animal because it can carry a lot, but still defend itself, especially if it is in a large group. Overall, the triceratops is one of my favorite and most versatile dinosaurs.

Make a trap get tranqs shoot it lol it’s simple or even use trees to trap

For all the people who have just started and they are looking around clueless, then here’s how to knockout tame triceratops easily.

Items needed:

-Compound Bow/Crossbow

-Tranq arrows

-A supply of berries (3+)

-Lvl 5+ (surprisingly easy beginner tame, unlike a carnivore)

-About 45-60s total of stamina

-Narcotics/narcoberries (if needed)

-Trike Saddle

How to:

1. First, you position yourself at a safe but sufficient point away from the triceratops.

2. Equip your compound bow or crossbow and load it with tranq arrows.

3. Fire the first arrow.

4. When the triceratops starts chasing you, run away until it stops and walks calmly.

5. Repeat the process until the triceratops is unconscious.

6. While the triceratops is unconscious, walk up to it and access its inventory.

7. Transfer your berries into the triceratops’s inventory.

8. A pink icon of a dinosaur footprint will appear above the unconscious triceratops, surrounded by two bars. One of the bars is pink, and it should match the amount of torpidity (time unconscious) the triceratops has left before it wakes up. The other should be yellow, and it should increase over time. That is the taming bar. The triceratops should eat the berries when its hunger has depleted (see it in triceratops inventory), and each time it eats, the taming bar increases by a little bit.

9. If the triceratops wakes up before the taming bar is complete, then the taming process will reset and you will have to knock it out again.

10. If the triceratops is low on torpidity and is going to wake up before the taming process is complete, then transfer narcotics or narcoberries to the triceratops’s inventory, then force-feed it the narcotics of narcoberries. That should buy you some more time before the triceratops wakes up.

11. If the taming bar is full, then the triceratops will wake up tamed immediately. A box will pop up saying “Name Your Triceratops”. Enter the name of your triceratops and press “Accept” to name. If you are not nearby when the triceratops tames, go to the triceratops’s options, then go to settings, then go to name. That should give you the same pop-up box.

12. Finally, access your triceratops’s inventory, then equip the Trike Saddle to ride it.

You now have a tamed Triceratops!

PS. There are other ways to knock out triceratops, such as a club, fists, or other methods.

5 Tips for Trikes

#1 They can climb most rocks

#2 I suggest making a trap it wat easier

#4 They make great NARCO BERRY COLLECTORS

If one of these guys has a glowing head, run away because there is a large predator like a Spino or Rex nearby

These things are badass, I have a lvl 67 and I killed a pack of 3 T rex! It may not have good speed or weight but damage… He also killed an alpha Meg that got stuck on rocks up by carno island (it nearly killed him) but w in the chat for my boi pointy!

You can make one unconscious by standing on a big rock and hitting it with a slingshot

They are easy first get slow level if you are start game. Preferably a lvl1 to a lvl 10. Then knock it out with a slingshot or tranqs. I run in circles and knock it out. After that let starve for 3-5 minutes then feed green kibble ,crops , or mejos. After that give either narco berries or narcotics. Then you got a trike.

Do not shoot in the head it takes only 15% of damage to the head

If you wana live, try not to pick up a egg from one of these guys. Its a reck dude. By the way, do NOT go to ur base/house while one of them is chasing u. It WILL destroy it…. You’ll thank me later ;)

The best way to utilize the trike when tamed or untamed when tamed it can gather loads of berries for you or when it's untamed you can use it as a shield for instance like a carno is running after you and there's a trike try to run for the trike to get the carno to fight the trike so you can escape unharmed

DO NOT PICK UP THE EGGS I picked up one and he almost killed me but my dilo army and my crazy strong parasur killed him! THANK GOD!!!!!

Whatever you do do not steal its egg or hit it it's girlfriend or friend would help the trike that you hit and then it will turn you into sashimi and then turn you into grilled bacon out of existence

Trikes Usually found on beaches

Like most big creatures, it can get stuck on trees. Weave between trees and shoot at them with notrouble. They might sometimes try to turn around to get unstuck though.
