These guys are POWERFUL. A FREAKING SPINO RAN AWAY FROM A TRIKEEEEEE. Also climb up on rock and use slingshot for low levels and tranq arrows for high levels also dont shoot the head it gets less damage there.

i found out that i can do the the dash attack and get a crazy amount of thatch and wood

like in 5m i got 4000 thatch and 700 wood

Do they share a special bond with dodos or what??? Because when I attack dodos in front if trike he attacks me!! And this happened multiple times... Anyone else???

To tame or knock out a trike I recommend you just find one and hop on a rock that is bigger than the trike and start using tranquil arrows or tranq darts

To tame a trike, you should make sure they are far away from your weak dinos and base or it's will be a disaster. I recommend using tranq arrow,it's the safest way. But if you are desperate, you can use a slingshot which have worse accuracy. Stand on a high ground where the trike can't get you then lure it beneath you, make sure to shoot it's limbs and not the head. You can also make a trap but it's not necessary for low level trikes. Feed it mejoberry, use nacrotic or Bio Toxin when it's torpor is low. Wait a little bit and boom,you got you first trike

To easily tame a trike get tranq arrows and run while shooting it until it falls asleep use simple cobble for fast and use berries for slow

How to tame trike:

Materials:

100 tranq arrows

Safari experience in taming

A crossbow

A HIGH LEVEL trike low lv has low stam and low health

How to tame:

1. Find a steep rock. I mean really steep and really tall. Trikes defy gravity.

2. Shoot its body not head.

3. Stop it from going into water.

Use berries to tame. Mejos for taming and narcoberries for keeping down.

Uses:

Turret soaker. It has head on reduction.

Defense: huge AOE and great dmg

Travel: Charges fast. Carries lots of stuff too.

Harvest: Charge for wood and a lot of thatch. Primary attack for berries.

Boss dino ARK ASCENDED!: with asa melee headshots, they get minimal dmg while having good dps and knockback. Do not try in Evolved or mobile.

Trike is a good starter dino.You can kill enemies with him very fast and u can farm berries like nothing.

The trike is really easy to tame and find, in fact after 2 hours of reading wiki it was my first dino. Not dodo, not parasaur, not dilo, not moschops(I’m in mobile moschops are useless)

As a early tame it is awesome as it is quite fast and has amazing damage. It is quite tanky and harvests a lot of berries.

Now for uses:

Transportation: a strong & moderately fast mount that provides food and materials on the way

Berry: farms way way more than parasaur or iguano, and faster than anky stego.

Turret soaker: the dmg reduction on head is amazing.

In conclusion in the early game 2nd best tame after moschops

Alot of people are saying to trap them but its a bit more simpler than that. If you want to tame one then you should craft a slingshot and then find a lonely trike (If you try to tame one when there is two both will attack) then slingshot him in the body. To not get flung by them run round in circles, they are very slow but can launch you.

To Tame Tricerotops :

1)Climb on a high rock.

2)40 - 50 stones needed and 2 slingshot.

3)Shoot with sling shot.

4)Feed 100 berries.

5)Cry in sadness that you haven't reached level 17.

In case you have difficulty with killing trikes, and you have leveled up to the point of firearms such as the shotgun, here is my advice.:

First of all, Triceratops have resistance to damage for their head, but nowhere else on the body, so if one is charging you, you can shoot it in the leg for massive damage.

Second of all, before engaging, move the the side of the trike, load your shotgun fully, and then shoot it twice in quick succession in the chest with the shotgun, followed up by a longneck rifle shot as well. Try to keep to its side profile so that it cannot attack you, but you can attack its unarmored spots.

Third of all, keep a large distance between you and it so that it cannot easily charge you and stun you, and so you can avoid the strike if it attempts to do so.

All you need to tame is a few tranq arrows and a crossbow, along with some berries. Then, it excels at getting narcoberries. I take my level 5 trike out for a short run and I come back with 200+ narcoberries.

I recommend making a trap it’s way more easy than you think.

Remember, I almost killed my self because i did not have tranq arrows. I knocked it out with my club.

Ps you should use tranq arrows.

Just shoot lots with tranquilliser arrows from crossbow then give mejoberry.

Pretty easy tame early on you don't even need a now all you need is to make a trap use 4 stone foundations 1 stone doorframe and put stone windowframes all around (2 high) the get ramps on a side punch the trike life it up the ramp and into the trap and smack it on the head with a club through the windowframe.
