Be careful around redwood I flew with my Wyvern and this came at me and drag me to the ground and killed me 😭

On Xbox to climb, hold the a button on a flat cliff like surface

You absolutely want to tame one climb through the caves!

When you are trying to tale those guys you should bring element and a tel helmet if ouu have obe and do a scan. They are easier to spot

Is there any way to survive after this little bastard jumps on you??? Or you should just accept you lose?

When flying through the Redwoods, look out for them on the sides of the trees, that's where they'll be waiting for you

Now, this was a given tame to me, so I know literally nothing about wild ones. I've never encountered one. Also take this with a grain of salt as the given one was a raised thylacoleo, so I could over exaggerate normal thylacoleo.

If you need some hide or meat, this guy is great. One of the best hunters in my opinion, as it's very fast, and it can climb up walls. Not even kidding.

It's jumps are huge (nothing compared to deinonychus a.k.a Raptor chicken)

Abilities that I know: Climbing (hold jump maybe? It's A for Xbox.) Growl (not sure if it does anything, press down right joystick for Xbox.)

And the normal attack. That's all I know for abilities.

Hope all of this is helpful, and remember to take it with a grain of salt, I'm decently newish (few weeks - a month new) and also this tame was a raised thylacoleo (100% Imprinted) that was as GIVEN to me, so I know nothing about wild ones or how hard it is to tame.

On crystal isles I have crystal wyvern so I just go to desert pick him up and put him in my taming pen made out of stone gateways just make a circle from gateways build a ramp so you can shoot it and you can tame there any dino safely that can be picked up by flyer

Once the Thyla jumps, it means your most likely death.

These guys are good for climbing and are pretty fast if you want to take someone out of the sky this is your tame

To tame one of these just go to the enviroment next to redwood and follow a pretadon in to red wood and watch a thycaleo jump on it then get around 45 darts and a harpoon launcher then when its eating its meal spray it with darts

I’ve found it easy to be on the back of a dino and shoot it down from the tree and then tank it while you hit it with tranqs. Has always worked for me

This is for new players to ark. If u are confused on where to find this creature look no further than the big trees in the red woods. If u see a big cat clinging on to the tree u have found it you want to have a high health stat to knock it out because after u shoot at it once it will jump off of the tree and attack u it will inflict bleeding damage and drain through your health very fast if u hit the head just like most creatures in ark it will knock out if it is a high level try to get some high ground or get it stuck between to objects traps work but they are hard to get into the trap so make sure u know the trap works before trying it.

Best trap to use is to make 4 floors 16 door frames to run out of once u get it in the trap and make 4 ramps best to make it out of stone or wood

My friend and I tamed two 145 thylas within a couple hours of eachother. We’d find them with our argys, then have one guy narrowly escape death while the other rigged bear traps. Then it was a matter of getting aggro and luring it into the minefield. After that, a spike wall around the tame and a preserving bin for meat were what we used for two successful tames. Oh, and don’t forget narcotics. We used roughly 200 each cuz we were using raw prime meat.

While riding any Apex predator like Rex, Spino or even a Yuty etc...

Thylacoleo will knock U off your mount period! Then the fun starts!!

You can find them in red wood area. Do not fly there! They will jump out of a tree and pin you down and kill your mount. Also if u have to talk about other things pls do it some where else and pls put your comments in the right place I looked at taming and KO ant say the first comment was where u can find these guys...😕

I dunno, I have about more than 24 hours gameplay on game and never heard of this creature before, I just found funny video on Reddit about him and so I decided to find more information about him.I was plenty times in Redwoods and never encountered a single one.But, thats probably just my luck.

One of these knocked me off my spino I was like wtf ?? Watch out for them
