What are tips for thylacoleo? Tips and strategies for thylacoleo in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
I dodged 2 today recently and tamed one its not that hard just grab it with argh before it jumps
Just fly higher then them and they won’t attack. I have tamed a lot of these and haven’t been knocked of my mount yet so stay above them and your fine pick them off the tree with argy or whatever you have that can carry it. Drop in a taming pin Easy tame
The taming times for the Thylo are wrong. It has taken me and my friend 5 hours to tame a level 135 with cooked meat. Taming with mutton on x1 increased taming by 0.9% and 0.4% with cooked meat. I get Thylos are amazing tames but preferred meat needs to change. Boa kibble is a very arduous method.
These guys are my favorite. They are quick and get over terrain. They are a solid mount. They are strong and fast. You can tame them by just getting some large bear traps. They can pounce on you and be careful flying in the redwoods. They will be in the trees and take you off your mount and kill you.
Rest in pieces my tapejara windbreaker
Babys take so much meat so rapidly make sure to have a finish inventory of meat if you have a baby and keep an eye on it!
Found in redwoods be careful they can take you of your mount and they come out of no where come prepared make sure you have lots of narcotics
When flying in redwood be aware that one may be hiding behind a tree. Best way if you're not using a trap or pen is to scout ahead of time and tranq on the ground then use flyer to gain distance. Find a vantage point and keep shooting it till it goes into flee mode. Once at that stage you can either wait till it returns or chase it with tranqs. Once downed use the starving method and focus on keeping it's torpor up. Once the appropriate amount of food has decreased use cooked prime, lamb or normal meat (COOKED). It should be a breeze from there. Once finished use the argy or quetz to carry it back to base, going on foot is suicide
If it attacks you just sit back and accept the fact that you are screwed
I swear to god only kibble tame them and they can’t damage wood so use wood gates saves resources and Do Not Ever ever use tranq arrows only use darts
If you look at them in a tree before they pounce on you then they won't...ever...I've checked my inventory before under them.
Snow owls are the best because they have thermo vision
If you’re planning on flying through the redwoods with a quetz, build a roof surrounding it. I had a small ramp hanging off the platform and it saved my life from a thyla that was about to jump on the back of my quetz.
When trying to tame the thylacoleo you need a argentavis or something that can pick up a thylacoleo. Definitely bump up as much health on it as you can on it. build a 2x2 base with doors all around it so you can shoot it through the door frames. then grab the thylacoleo with your bird and put him in the little basebuild a 2x2 base with doors all around it so you can shoot it through the door frames.
I tamed one by getting it in water then climbing up onto a rock and using a long neck use a bow or boomerang or sling shot if your Lower level
Tame with either raw meat mutton or prime
So i’m chilling at a well protected, turret base. I’m watching a they’ll I want to tame, I get my stuff, and look up again. It’s gone. I go down to the ground. He tries to jump me, but I somehow dodge, and run back to base. It followed me, and well, I forgot about the turrets.
Lesson learned.
Another reason to take a bunch of hyaenodon into the red woods in case you get pounced they will destroy its face and gather a lot of resources from it.
Redwoods are now no fly zone stay high up so they can’t get you
