You should bring alot of narcotics because they wake up pretty quickly and they can be quite annoying

These guys are absolutely perfect multi-purpose mounts! I use mine, Mars, for taming. Since you can use weapons on their backs, I recommend leveling health so they can soak damage while you tranq out whatever dino you're after from its back.

In Genesis 2, you can find them most commonly around the mountains over on the “day side”, the R variant pattern is very unique compared to the traditional thylacoleo pattern and makes them easy to spot, best way to knock them out is shocking tranq darts, this has always been my favorite tame since ragnarok

Go to the southwest island that looks like a paw print on Ragnarok. Build a taming pen, I used a 4 by 4, 2 walls high and lead into trap. Knock out thyla and starve tame, let it's food go down by about 400. Bring lots of narcotics/ bio toxin. Feed cooked lamb chop ( ovis is everywhere on rag) or ext kibble if you have it. Bam , you have a thyla

I haven’t seen one yet, but they should be in Gen 2 on the ground. I’ve seen a YouTuber or two encounter one. Apparently they will be found on the ground like in Rag. Though I am curious if they do their perching on the side of cliffs instead of the Redwoods.

Use cooked meat instead of raw prime meat because it takes quicker to tame but still has the same taming percentage

have someone pick it up with argy or bigger then tranq it.

Easy for ps4 split screen or servers with tribes

I’d suggest four-five stone gateways in a line spaced so you can fit but thylas can’t kite in in the close the gate. Happy taming

This thing legit is a buffed Sabertooth with a climbing ability and if you get pounced on by on of these your dead. The king of the redwoods is this guy. The entire reason while people won’t fly low or even go in redwood.

Once I got jumped by one of these guys but I was riding my thylacolyo so it saved me

My game has a weird glitch where it loves to crash when I try to respawn. I was flying through the Redwoods, when one of these (I want to curse here, but I won’t) things, and knocked me down into a pack of Allosaurus. I died, and my game glitched. I lost my entire game, and I had just tamed my first ever Spinosaurus earlier that day.

On crystal isles their in the desert dont know if it helps but yeah

Have tendency to keep climbing when walls or gates end. If this happens, just stay calm, pretend you’re still on the wall and you can slowly and carefully slide down to avoid death and loss of mount

When your looking for one just be in low ground just in case if they find you first, if they don't then just look for one that is killing or eating something, use a shocking tranq dart and there you go, btw they are #4 best hide collectors

Watch out for these guys on rag, they jump you out of nowhere in the redwoods and eat your face

Just found a 145 in the murder snow frozen lake that always has like 100 mammoths. Was taming a yuty I found and this thyla just meanders on over lol...a lvl 145.....I almost had a heart attack. I'm in fur and wyvern is on passive lol....it's still there somewhere...lurking...
