I dunno, I have about more than 24 hours gameplay on game and never heard of this creature before, I just found funny video on Reddit about him and so I decided to find more information about him.I was plenty times in Redwoods and never encountered a single one.But, thats probably just my luck.

One of these knocked me off my spino I was like wtf ?? Watch out for them

Of you are trying to get one off a tree fly over it with a wyvern so when it jumps at you it hits the Wyverns stomach and misses you

They spawn in redwoods on the island and spawn around the green obeisk on scorched earth

These things will hop off of trees grab you off your wyvern and munch your face off.

This happened to me while exploring the redwoods I mean I was flying pretty low so it’s kinda my fault but I survived and my wyvern did too.Just be careful and these guys blend in with the trees too! See footage on my TikTok my username is swiftchicken287

They take a while but they are well worth it, amazing tames

Easier tô tame in SE because there they dont have trees to climb and ambush you, they are always in the ground.

By the way, it prefers coked meat,prime,mutton...

These things are great for climbing those snow biome mountains I always fall and die but as long as you're on this thing you don't take fall damage.

Very fast land mount with a good jump and brilliant for hide nd raw meat

Can be fed raw and cooked meat, a level 85 took about 18 tranq darts

Approach from a distance and use darts,also it prefers cooked meat over raw meat so build a fire and start taming.

Taming these on the standard official you can use 14 kibble and 1-2 lamb chop to max starve tame and acquire the max level from taming @150. Tested numerous times without additional multipliers.

Best trap to use is to make 4 floors 16 door frames to run out of once u get it in the trap and make 4 ramps best to make it out of stone or wood

My friend and I tamed two 145 thylas within a couple hours of eachother. We’d find them with our argys, then have one guy narrowly escape death while the other rigged bear traps. Then it was a matter of getting aggro and luring it into the minefield. After that, a spike wall around the tame and a preserving bin for meat were what we used for two successful tames. Oh, and don’t forget narcotics. We used roughly 200 each cuz we were using raw prime meat.

So I just tryna tame a real so I go to the redwoods, these guys jumped at me when I was tryna find a rex, then they jumped at me and pushed me towards a rex, killed it, then rode my argy to go to a cliff and knock out the rex, boom, I tamed a rex, but also watch out cuz they will jump at u, push u to a random predator or something,

Tamed my first one of these by grabbing it in valguro with a level 20 argy picked it up put it in a five wooden billboard trap tamed it . The argy died but it’s ok Cus I love these.

WATCH THE BIG TREES, they are most likely just waiting for you in a tree.

Mive slowly through the woods if you want to avoid them on your bird (spyglass wil come in handy).

For people withot quetzals to trap them in behemoth walls: If you know where it's hanging from a tree, it won't move from that tree until something comes close enough for it to pounce on. Get prepared with >2 bear traps where you want it to run into. Use only (cross)bow and arrows because torpor goes down fast and tranq darts reload too slowly. Make sure you had a bear trap set up behind it because it will run the other direction if you got the torpor high enough. If torpor isn't high enough it will chase you once the trap breaks. Have a trap set in front of you just in case. Guaranteed it'll have lost a lot of health once it's downed so try to build around it to keep it safe.
