More Thylacoleo Taming & KO Tips
Set a parasaur on turret mode and fly over redwoods carrying it with a flyer. Any of these things will get marked.
A good way I found to find these is to go to the redwoods riding a parasaur and walk into the forest spamming the parasaur’s ability. It will alert you to a thylacoleo in a tree if there is one, just make sure to look up at the trees near you if it finds enemies. Also would recommend bring a dino or two to protect you and your parasaur. Just signal them to passive when you find your thylacoleo. Hope this helps.
I was expecting the Thyla to jump over it, so I built a trap I use for my Medium-Large dinos. 3x3 with 3 walls high, but since it doesn’t jump, feel free to use a 2x2 (This is my first thyla). It’s * L I T E R A L L Y * a free tame. Just pop it up into the trap with ramps, a wyvern, argy, ect, and its jump that simple.
If you are playing on Ragnarok, they are easier to tame in the desert biome, very common around lat 86, lon 63.
You cannot be dismounted from a stego using hardened plate mode, and hardened plate makes your stego take 50% already, so a stego is a great way to tame your first one, or for going into the redwoods in general. Be aware, the bleed damage is not reduced.
So I found a way to tame a thylacoleo with a griffin fly on your griffin and shoot a narcotic at it and wen it stops agreeing then soot it again and Rupert en till it’s knockout then play’s wood spite walls around it and tame it good luck with your thyla
They prefer cooked meat over raw. Don't waste your precious raw mutton, better cook it, as it tames faster and with higher efficiency.
If you see one on a tree, shoot it so it will come down and pick it up with an Argentavis to bring it into a taming pen
Try getting the health on your character up pretty high then fly around the redwoods (make sure the flyer is on passive) when a thylacoleo jumps at you start shooting at it as it usually can't run away. It doesn't take away too much health but I'd recommend to have a high amount just in case. This has always worked for me I'm not sure if it always works.
