Tips & Strategies

Anyone who is saying to run from these clearly doesn’t understand how fast they are.
Do not come close, because we're not passive.
When you get too close, we become aggressive.
We can kill hundreds of things that's in our way, all just in one day.

They seem to like Citronal a lot (99.8% efficiency)
Alpha big bird......not as nice as he was on Sesame Street
Ps4 gathering buttons
L2 fiber
R2 wood and a bit of thatch
R3 is a peck attack that will harvest a lot of hide.
These guys appear at the wrong place at the wrong time ALWAYS and I hate it
Please man, if you are new to the game, and see one of these, TURN 180 DEGREES AROUND, AND RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
I know what you're thinking: I can take one of those! No problem!
Yeah, that's what I thought too. That's how I lost my lvl 28 Dilo Phospho, lvl 27 Dilo Sauro, two lvl 6 dilos (yes I am a Dilo addict- why do you ask?), AND lvl 6 Raptor Resilience- along with several dino eggs I was about to use to tame the darn thing. Those were all my first tames, by the way. (R.I.P to them- rest their souls, likely still haunting me to this day for my stupidity. I deserve it :D)
Trust me, YOU CAN NOT DEFEAT A THERIZINOSAURUS WITH ANY MELEE WEAPONS WITHOUT DECENT ARMOR!
Oh. And bolas don't work on them either. As if the LITERAL DAGGER HANDS WEREN'T ENOUGH.
If you see one of these early game, DO NOT ENGAGE. It's not worth it, and it will cause heartbreak seeing your tames die to these Edward Scissorhand spawns from the pits of Tartarus.
If you must tame one, please use a trap or load em up with tranq arrows from a VERY GENEROUS DISTANCE. They don't look it, but these things are SPEED. If it starts running at you, either pray to a god of your choice, or get on your mount and start running like your life depends on it- because it very well does.
Overall, if you don't have an Army of Trikes and Raptors to back you up or a getaway flier, I do not recommend confrontating one of these things. They are deadly- if the samurai sword fingers don't scream death and doom, I don't know what to tell you.
First time I met the tickle chicken.. it was terrifying.
So, I didn’t know they were hostile, and was like “ what the hell is that??” And went up to it, it hissed and me and started using its large tickle claws and chased me. I survived.. I swam through water, and climbed a rock.
I am a mobile player I play on the official server (Alpha) and my username is Doglife so if you see me say hi. I tamed one of these easily. My friend held me in the air with his pteranodon while I unloaded tranqs on the Theri. I didn’t miss a shot and soon enough the Theri went night night. We gave him a soothing balm and a bunch of mejoberrys and BOOM we have our self a Theri named Snuffy. You can tame almost any creature this way.
Most horrific thing I’ve seen so far. I hate them, if you’re a low level, literally avoid them at all costs, unless you want to die.
They might seem nice from a distance, until you get close and then they murder you before you have the chance to run away
Theris will drown if they pass out in water! Many tames won't drown when knocked out it rivers and streams, but these guys will. After 200+ hours the first 150 Theri I've found chose death over servitude...The hunt continues...
Description:
Many people often fault Therizinosaurus Multiensis as a predator, but these same people clearly weren’t smart enough to know not to dare approach a wild animal until you know it’s general temperament, and they would see that it is clearly the exact opposite of a predator if they researched it’s prehistoric self/ancestor.
Despite the high numbers of deaths by this particular animal, Therizinosaurus Multiensis prefers peace over war. However, it has a very short temper when it comes to it’s own personal space. If you overstep this line and have failed to outrun a raptor, you should just accept your death. Struggling often only makes the problem worse than it already is, as Therizinosaurus Multiensis rarely ever gives up on chasing a target that has angered it.
Domesticated
Because of it’s short temper for personal space, Therizinosaurus Multiensis is incapable of being passively tamed despite being a herbivore, as it prioritizes survival over alliance. However, various balms and concoctions manufactured for the sole purpose of soothing wild animals for domestication have proven effective on almost all species, with this one being no exception. On top of that, unsurprisingly for a herbivorous species, Therizinosaurus Multiensis’s favorite snack just so happens to be Rockarrots, and becomes fiercely loyal once tamed, especially if said Rockarrots are offered to it while it is unconscious. I have personally ridden them, and they have big hearts, especially when it comes to their owners. They just don’t like people getting too close for comfort. Mind your own personal space, and wild a Therizinosaurus Multiensis shall treat you with respect. Forget to mind your own personal space, and… …I think you can guess what happens next.
All those years of PTSD from the tickle monster when you were little will suddenly come back when you meet one of these
I finally tamed one of these, it was a low lvl one. When you tame this animal be prepared to have alot of narcotics on hand, this thing will take a tremendous amount of them.
Put loads of stimberrys let it eat them all the starve.THEN let it wake up... knock back out still starved taming effect is reset and it's a little over a hour tame for a lvl 50 :)--Batman
I got DESTROYED by a mate boosted level 125 while wearing Ascendant & Mastercraft Flak Armor (1500 Total Armor). Avoid these on foot at all costs. If your character doesn't have high movement speed, you probably won't survive. The Ark Freddy Krueger
