So if you finnaly find a tapejara but its in a terrible area to tame or it keeps running from you, use RARE FLOWERS. By eating them it gets the tapejara to agro to you so make sure you have enough health to deal with the attacks. While the tapejara is chasing you, you can lead it to your base or wherever your ideal taming spot is. They will also not fly away but you need to make sure you have a ton of rare flowers or when the effect runs out, it will fly off and never be seen again :,D

Really no need to craft a whole ghillie suit for this. Totally unnecessary. You just need a couple of bolas and some good aim. Throw them from a distance, they spook easy.

A quick albeit risky way to tame one is to use a Dire Wolf/Raptor/Sabertooth and rush at it with a bola, with some skill you can bola it before it has a chance to react and are free to tranq it.

Just bring like 10-15 bolas and stand a ways back and chuck bolas at it until you hit it and then you walk up to it and 360 noscope it in the face

If you see one landing and you didn’t have a ghillie suit and only one bola

Well then hope you got aim from far range cause once they start running they will never be found again lol

You can eat rare flowers to agro it which is great for an easy efficient tame.

These are hard to tame, make sure you have plenty of bolas and tranq arrows, feed it meat if you don’t have prime fish meat

If you have a long neck rifle that is a journeyman or higher you can nock it out with out a bola

So u spend all ur time taking it BY YOURSELF and then u bring it back home (the trip is horrible) and then u log off the next day u can't find it u look at the tribe notes or whatever it's called and u see this: your giga was kicked off the server cuz of too high lvl

Don't fıght ıt. Becouse ıt's good to tame ıt. You need a bola (Net wıth harpoon), tanq arrow. You throw the bola or shot wıth the harpoon. Then you knock out the dıno bırd. Shot wıth narcotıc stuff and feed hım wıth meat

Rare flowers to lure it, bola to catch, tranq darts should be enough to knock it out before the bola runs out

Make 2 mind wipe tonics.

Reset stats, putting everything into crafting.

Craft longneck.

One shot Tapejaras from ground or on a griffin(2 depending on level)No bolas needed.

You don’t need a gillie suit to tame these guys you need to bola it from a distance than tranq dart it

I flew above with an argy, then jumped and bola’d it

Then shoot with tranq arrows

Use rare flowers to bait it towards you or a taming pen, beware this makes this the tapejara attack you!

If you have no tape, take a q fly straoghr toward it and use the bolas

Surprisingly, the tapejara is a great alpha killer. Just find a alpha raptor, and hover above it. Strafe downwards, attack, go up, and repeat. It's also good for long distance flight, carrying fair amounts of resources, and scouting.

An effective way to knock out a Tapejara is to wait for it to land, equip a bola then run straight at it while swinging the bola. As soon as it does it's 'roar'' animation, throw to bola before it flies away. If you miss or throw too late, then if you can get it out of your render distance quickly then load it back in, it should have stopped flying away and be back in it's normal state, ready for you to try again.
