Tips & Strategies

I've tamed one on official. You have to do a certain number of unique missions, can't be the same one over and over. Once you've done that then you have to go to the middle of the map between rings to get mutagel. If you don't see mutagel in between the rings you have to wait until the next hyperspace jump. Hyperspace jumps change the landscape and material spawns in the no man's land area. Once you have mutagel and the correct number of missions go up to a Stryder and feed it the gel from the last slot in your inventory. Once you've done that, a body part will start sparking. It will be either the head, shoulders, leg joints, feet or chest. Go up to that body part and hit the Y button again. You will then have to play a mini game 3 times where you stop the scrolling blocks on the center line with RT. Then another body part will start sparking and after it has walked a certain distance away just prince and repeat. You only need the mutagel once.
XBOX - right trigger to hack for taming.
It has it's own transmitter on it's back.
You can put a Stryder in it's own transmitter.
It has a fast travel point & sleeping pod on it's back.
You can upload the items from it's inventory directly to your dedicated storage, but ONLY if you are on that map.
Styrders collect metal very well. They get fiber, and thatch extremely well. To collect berries and mushrooms and other plants, with it's kick/stomp.
The best Styder for farming resources is the excavation rig on it's head, it has 3 mining drills directly on it's face and the resource collector saddle bags on it's torso.
That's all the tips that I have from my experience.

PlayStation: press RT not X for the hacking. I spent 10 minutes pressing X thinking I was miss timing!
Ok listen To clear things up in this theard it has a platform saddle and diffrent type of laser fro harvesting defence or attack it can spawn randomly with anyone of these attachments u cant chage em it also has a tek pod and for those ppl saying how do u know the devs told us in a live stream called extra life go watch it (also sorry if this came out a bit rude)
They are non violent, but if you attack them and kill them they will explode!
Press R2 on PlayStation to hack. Good luck!
To tame them, after completing the proper missions and getting mutagel, stand on their back and feed the mutagel to them. A peice of its body will spark and you will have to do a mini game where you use the attack button when the boxes are in the middle of the line. Messing up puts taming back to 0, but they will not need more mutagel.
Guys, this must be the robo deer thing that shoots lasers in the trailer.
Hate the wandering mechanic of the tame, sometimes they just wander in circles around their point of tame.
Don't tame a high level one. You'll lose your mind. No matter how far you are into taming it'll reset if you mess up once. Fu wildcard.
When you mess up a hack or waiting for the steps between hacks use a diplo OR wyvern to nudge the stryder around to get it away from its already walked steps. Your welcome❣️
A guide to the Eden zone and Stryder (next guide in shadow mane)
The Eden zone is a friendly area with a Maewings and Stryder. First, let’s start with the Stryder. The Stryder is tamed by hacking it, and can be accessed by using your jet pack to fly on to its back. You have to complete a specific amount of missions for a Stryder, depending on the level. You also need mutagel, which I would explain how to get, but I don’t know how to. The Stryder is also neutral, with lots of health, so be careful if you wish to kill it on foot, otherwise it isn’t too hard with a mount. Now to the Eden zone
Part 2: The Eden Zone
The Eden zone is pretty friendly, unless your in the upper bit. I’ve found lots of alpha creatures, an alpha rex, an alpha carno, and three alpha raptors! Surprising, yeah? Most of the dangerous things are in the upper half of the map, near the mountains. In the lower half of the map, you can find maewings and small predators like dilos or compies, along with medium to small herbivores. Next, there’s the upper half, which has medium to big predators and herbivores. Rexes, yuties, Carnos, and other things spawn near mountains. If your looking for an argentavis, I’ve seen some to the far right of the upper half near the wall. There should be a small mountain, and if you go there you can find argentavis. If you fly upwards, you can find snow owls, pteranodons, and uncommonly, tappies. That’s a basic guide to the Eden zone, the next guide will be in shadow mane, as stated above.
