Be careful because if there's a group you might get attacked by all of them

Use stone pillars to trap make a 3x3 with the pillars snapped wide then leave 1 end open agro the Stego to follow you into the trap and leave it’s agro distance then go back and place a pillar in the open end don’t worry it takes a while to turn around as it’s a very small space for it then traq it also teks will not agro if you attack a regular stego and vice versa

You can easily outrun them so you don’t need to be on a mount to tame it, just stay a distance away and you should be fine.

You can find these near the red ob go there and you’ll see a whole army( not really you get the point..)! Good luck on taming one.. you’ll need it. Anyways you’ll need like 10 Tranq arrows if the first 2 don’t work they usually do. If high lvl use Narcotics or Biotoxin, bio toxin is recommended but it doesn't matter. If it’s a low level use Narcoberries or narcotics. Biotoxin or Narcotics are recommended but it doesn’t matter. Now before you tranq it kill all the highly threatening Dino's in the area then in 8-15 minutes you got yourself a Stegosaurus! 😄 😝

Step 1: climb a high rock, not to high. Step 2: kill any predators nearby. Step 3: shoot and attack the stegosaurus until it is KO. Step 4: kill any dinos charging at you. Step 5: collect berries. Step 6: feed the stego berries.

Step 7: get a saddle for your new stegosaurus.

ok. WHY does it take FOREVER to tame???? LITERALLY THO IT TOOK ME AN HOUR TO TAME A LVL 24 STEGO ON WEST 2

Find a high level I tried to tame low level with wood trap and sling shot I killed it with the sling shot

You can outrun it with your basic speed so I recommend kiting it to outside your base and then using tranq arrows. Now you can go and do other things around your base while you wait 2 hours for your 1st stego

If your a low level with a slingshot just go for a trike these take a long time to tame and are very slow

Just shoot it a couple times with a crossbow with Traq arrows(About 5-10 shots) then feed it alot of berries(any kind is fine) but bring extra and bring narcotics(about 10-20 depends on the level) and make sure there aren't any other stegos around and if you want, go up on a rock(They are kinda slow) and if you are a newbie use Slingshot and shoot it at its head (and you are gonna need to stand on a rock)

if you are playing on official server I would recommend waiting till the weekend evo event is up as it takes a while to tame high level Stegos

Life becomes easier with a crossbow(for newbies)

First unconscious it and trape do not feed anything.sleep, and check it's food bar it should be very low and then unconscious it again and feed taming food.

How I tamed my stego I shot it with tranq arrows( lvl 21 to make tranq arrows ) I used about 10 arrows and once it's knocked out then feed it berries

A good way to get it ready for taming is tranq arrows and a crossbow beacuse most of the time your faster than the stego

A great way to tame one is to get on a rock get your slingshot and shoot them and just feed them and enjoy your new stegosaur

I am level 16 and I have a stego from slingshot and run slingshot and run.or if I didn’t… you died to stego level 7.

its true, i just shot it in the head with a tranq arrow, turn around and ran, shot it again, and so on. It did hit me once, and did a bit of damage and knocking me forward. but it was an overall easy tame and its worth it. They’re early/mid game decent tanks.
