In Ragnarok, very common in the griffon area (ravine from about 40/30 to 40/50 and surrounding area) and the woods in top left (about 30/20 to 30/30 and up), tek ones too.

On mobile (not use) these guys movement speed is bugged cuz you can tame them and get 200% movement speed but it sprints slower than a wild stego

Real me tame these with a bat and no trap!

The way I first tamed my stego was that I found one caught between two trees. I shot it with 4-5 tranq arrows and fed it berries. The stego by far is one of the most useful dinos I have tamed so far.

These guys are pretty stupid and slow their turn radius is kind of bad but that is nullified because of their attack which covers like 80% of their body so if ur gonna tame it do it from afar

Easy to tame grab your tranqs shoot it’s head stay we’re the mouth is so it doesn’t attack you sadly it only has one attack on mobile and 2.0

This is a tip on how to tame a stego. First find a one they commonly spawn in jungles, mountains and plains. They will occasionally spawn on beaches. Second, you must preferably knock out with slingshot or tranq bow. I would recommend using a slingshot if you make a trap or on a high rock. Third proceed to knock it out. - quick tip: if you pump enough levels in health and melee damage on a pulmoscorpius (scorpion thing) you can knock it out with that. They prefer vegetables or berries (mejoberries).

Use crossbows it takes a few shots whit trapunk arrows

Easy tame even early game, because it's torpor drain is slow. The best way to knock it out is to walk backwards and tranq them in the head. They are slow and will not catch up.

Make sure to have enough stamina to get away from its strike if not able to find a suitable rock clump

The easiest way to tame a Stego is to unlock tranq arrows (level 21) and find one level 20 and under and short it about 5 times then it will run away and be knocked out also be on top of a rock

I just made a 2 x 1 stone trap with wooden ramps on each side, shot the stego once, lead it into the trap, and shot it in the head with tranq darts amd rocks, and tamed with mejoberries (i couldnt make kibble because i was in a new map ☠️)

KO (180+ Tek Stego) And wait a good couple mins and feed Regular Kibble 38 on 1x and have urself a awesome Dino

Use your trike trap but make it a bit bigger

I tamed one that was level 110 if you see one that high in level don't do It unless you got 300 something health like me and I still almost died so don't try to tame it have ascendant longneck rifle

If you are on mobile and don’t have access to kibble, use rock carrots and a soothing balm. Trust me it goes WAY faster.
