What are some stories about the stegosaurus? Memorable stegosaurus stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
Spent 2 hours dying to big stupid fishes to get a little bit of oil for stego kibble, then what happened? I realized I don’t got stego eggs, got on my PT and embarked on a mission to go find stego eggs, found one and the other one needed for the second kibble I just literally could not find, this happened 2 days ago and I’m still searching for a stego egg 😭
(Yes I did follow stegos and waited for them to lay an egg, it just did not happen)
I found a stego once playing on mobile that was stuck on a tree a decent way away from my base. I was looking for one for about an hour so I could tame one, so I was really excited. Around 120 stones and 3 slingshots later, it was unconscious and I started taming it. About an hour and a half later, it was halfway done, and I just realized that I didn't have enough narcoberries to keep it unconscious, so I called over my level 405 Moschops to collect berries while I was guarding it from the boatload of Compy in the area, and my Moschops, set to passive, casually walks up to the tree, collects some wood from it, and, being 350 levels or so above the stego, also one-shotted it.
Moral of the story: if you have anything that can harvest wood, and your tame is stuck against a tree and unconscious, make sure anything you have nearby that is set to collect resources doesn't try to collect the wood from the tree, otherwise you will definitely regret it.
Azura
When the TLC came out I immediately looked for high levels I found 4 max level raptors on the way but did not tame them I was on a zom wyvern when all of a sudden two max levels just spawn in the but had a rex next to them, so sad I was I risked flying in and picking them up. R.I.P zom wyvern and mutated otter
Side note my base was right next to this scene
Here’s a story about my first stegosaurus tame: I decided to go to the swamp for my first time and I saw a sarco. I knew it was dangerous but I decided since I had my little brother with me we could tame it. So we started shooting it with tranq arrows from our crossbows but it ran away. We were bummed but then we saw a stego. We decided we should come home with at least one tame so we knocked it out and tamed it. The taming took a while so when it was finished it was night. During the day I saw a therizino blocking the way but we were able to get past it. I really didn’t want to fight it considering what it did to my tek parasaurolophus. (A story for another time) We tried to swim past it, and did but then pirhannas started chewing on it and since it was dark we couldn’t see anything. Our stego was at a sliver of HP and I thought I saw one of the pirhannas and shot it but then... I got the message: You killed Stacy - lv. 25 (stego)! I accidentally shot Stacy in the foot. R.I.P. Stacy.
I was at herbivore island and spotted a beautifully coloured 150 stegosaurus and decided to tame it so I spent the next 40 minutes collecting spoiled meat and narcoberrys for tranq arrows and then I spent another 10 minutes trying to knock it out but it swam out into the ocean and I knew i should shoot at it but it was still gaining torpor and it knocked out in the water and drowned😭
Once on aberration. I was stuck at the portal area because there's a ton of ravengers from all sides. As the humble and smart survivor I am. I tamed a stego. But it was not the best level but not the worst. Next, I made her a saddle for her and rode into battle with those ravengers. When the First one saw me, it went south fast. They're bleeding me down and slowly but steadily draining my stego's health like a melting candle. But I don't give up that easily, my stego trade blows with those beasts and one dies and the next and so on. After five or six ravengers, my stego. She was level 130 when I finally tamed her prevailed on top of those filthy beasts. And that day onwards I will never forget the first big victory on my stego and one step towards beating Rockwell.
One time I was getting started on arkpoc and I tamed on at level 150 (wild!) so i cryo’d it and went home when I logged of for the night I found out I was wiped in the morning I saw and what made the most sad was that I lost my stego and that was one of the first times I tamed a stego and I am currently trying to find the killers base and hope to wipe them back
Bing bong. Said stegy while in his egg almost ready to hatch. Crack. His head popped out he saw the world upside down. Then he blasted out of his egg and landed on his mother and farted. He is finally right side up.-This is reminder that stegosaurs lay their eggs upside down.
Just tamed my first one it's slow but soon tank and strong almost killed me in ONE strike had to use all of my narco arrows then when it was finished taming after like 10 years we got back to bace after a while bc he is very slow since I have seen that these things are powerful I'm probably going to test that maybe on a trike not sure which would win probably my stago btw his name is stagonator he is Beautiful ty for reading I know it long
Started playing together with a few friends. Everyone but myself had started taming so I set out to find a companion. Not being picky but I had a soft spot for stegos . so I found her, while not visually stunning with a green upper body and bland plates with a red stripe that runs down her back and cloudy grey legs. Terra has been my rock while adventuring. Keeping me safe and company on those long treks and dark nights. I always keep her with large stacks of mejo's untill I can get her some better food. Shes saved my life more times than I can count and even if shes no stat superstar shes my joy whenever I sign on. I'm building her a nice pen where she can graze and enjoy herself.
I've tamed just about everything on the ark and breed, imprinted and mutated most of them...but I still have the same tek stego I tamed near the start of my adventures. Good old Whack who while not the toughest or fastest creature I own, he's proven to be the most loyal. I got ambushed by a carno outside my base and I whistled to attack while unloading everything into it. Not ONE of my big tames came....but Whack certainly did. He charged that carno and had it taken out in two swipes. He got a handful of mejos as a reward. And while other stegos have been breed to be alpha rex killers he's still in my barn amongst multi colored dinos and creatures out of fiction
