if you dont want to use a trap cause of the lack of resources,use a dino with atleast 2000+ health and a saddle,and about 11 spike walls to protect your spino.but if you dont have 150+ narcotics,you might need bio toxins or more narcotics,i needed lots of narcotics and a few bio toxins

Taming a spinosaure is easy if you are on a hill he cannot climb,even with a sling shot it’s working,now I am level ten I have a Spino and I am full of ressources

Spinos don't have much torpidaty so make sure you have a lot of narcotics but this does depend on the level

I posted a tip saying that in real life the spino would lose in a fight against a Rex. The reason why is because the spino is lighter has a weeker jaw strength less bulky and is built for catching fish due to this the rex would realistically win in a fight if they were ever to cross paths but near the water it’s a 60% win for the spino but in the water it’s more of a 97% win for the spino so it could win but would have to be in or near water. Just to mention the rex has the second strongest bite ever the strongest bite belongs to the megalodon. By the way people I’m a spino fan not a Rex fan so don’t think I’m a Rex fan because I posted this tip I just want to clear things up and because when I posted a tip similar to this it was disliked by someone and now I can’t find it on another account so I wanted to post this tip to show you what the results in a battle would probably be like but in the game spino would most likely win. Quick mention the spino design in the game looks very different from the more resent design for the spino also it was most likely not bipedal and was lighter than the rex to help with swimming also it had a tail similar to a tadpoles so the spino was more built for the water due to this rex would realistically win in a fight - A.L.N.A

I tamed this thing WITHOUT using any traps. It's simple just get about 20 or 10 tranq arrows then shoot it. Always remember to tame a low level. I tamed a level 10 and it was not easy. Make sure you have 20 cooked prime meat. You'll also need 70 narcotic which you can put it in the inventory of the spino then feed him with it. You'll have to wait and keep feeding it just keep it unconcius so the hunger of the spino decreases. Make it to 2135 hunger so you can put your cooked prime meat and tame it. Now you know how to tame it. Be the king of the island!!!

Ez way to taming spino

Step 1 : ready a bow with tranq arrow/toxicant arow or anything that can make spino knock out

Step 2 : ready 3 large bear trap

Step 3 : dont forgot narcotic and meat (better use argentavis kibble)

Step 4 : place large bear trap

Step 5 : make spino get traped on large bear trap

Step 6 : after spino got on large bear trap u just need to knock out it

Last step : the spino is yours congrats

Bonus : u can use shooting balm

I was flying then saw a spino level 21 then I landed then I was tranqing him in till he got knock out then he was running one I shot 2 tranqs I shot him 10 times then it fell I put raw fish meat and raw meat then I tamed him.please hit the arrow so it is green👍🏻

This thing is better than the Rex. Don't let anybody tell you differently. Could a rek a rex in a fight! It's more mobile too! Listen this thing Could go head-to-head with a giga.

The best to tame is to tame an low level creature, make sure he have all its hp and shoot narco arrows at it, then go and kill some salmons with a Metal Sickle to get Primefishmeat, so you will need only small amount of narcotics, and when he is nearly get up hit him with an Club (only when it's critical) that's how I tamed a spino with level 26

Greatly under estimated. pump a high level one (110 +) full of melee and it will rip any thing to bits apart from big alpha Rex's and gigas. Can out run any preditor on land and is a dream in deep water when talking it down keep it away from water as it is so fast in deep water and it is a air breathing dinosaur so it can drown. Much better than a Rex..

When taming it in the wild always carry spike walls or dinosaur gates to surround your team and protected from wild tames and other players

SOLO Tame : Just get a Quetzel and fly on top of it. Dismount and keep using the narco darts till it knocks out. Normally it wont he able to move much as its gonna be focused at you. But at one point its gonna run away but do not pursue it its gonna come back straight at you again

2nd time taming a spino the trap didn't work and my pteranodon killed it

I got a INSANE 561.3 damage bow and knocking a 130 took 14 ARROWS. yes, 14.

Since they usually around rivers there is often a cliff near by that you can fly up to and rain tranqs without needing a trap. The cliff also works as a wall meaning you need less spikes to defend it while its down.

This dino is the best well rounded all terrain for all your needs! A must have on Center Map! They run fast, swim faster without using stamina, have a nice AoE attack, plus their size means they can challenge more dinos without fear, and they dont get stuck easily. Level their stamina, weight, health, and melee and a spino wont let you down anywhere you take it!
