Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a spinosaurus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a spinosaurus.
to tame a spino just get on a cliff near the spino and tranq it and bring a pterandon for when it runs use an ascendant cross bow if you have one cause it took me about 10 or more tranq
Build a raft, place lowered foundations on raft, place door frames 5 high on right, left and back side of raft. Place 6 ramps on front. Drive around till you find a 145 to 150. Scoop it up and bring it to your nearest cliff. Get up on a rock or ledge and tranq dart till it’s out. Make sure to bring the right kibble and follow dodo dex taming instruction’s. Just tamed a 145 that came out to 207. This has always worked for me.
I just random tamed one, by flying onto a rock and then shooting it with tranqs until it was unconscious
Pain to tame and fell of the tiniest ledge and died
“vote up” to pay respects
(Doesn’t let you say Up-Vote)
Because they do less damage than a Rex but more per second, if you tank a diplo and send it after the Spino, the attacks will be interrupted by the Diplo's push, but doing no damage, this is even more effective with a Snow Owl or a Daedon to heal the Diplo.
Like so more know.
A paracer is not tall enough to protect you from it's attacks
Don’t KO in deep water.
Please.
If your looking for a Rex to tame and you find a spino a spino isn’t that good of a replacement. Everyone says that the spino is stronger but it really isn’t. The Rex can hit just as fast as the spino in its strongest form if you are riding the Rex and you are spamming the attack button. So if you spam attack button the Rex will win,Rex takes 12 hits to kill a spino while the spino takes 19 hits to kill a rex.Plus, the rex has better weight. The FRIKIN spino has less weight than a FRIKIN triceratops.Your welcome
I made a cage out of stone behemoths and trapped the spino inside. And afterwards noticed that the gates it attacked took alittle bit of damage. Don't forget to bring repair materials
It not true about Mutton and Food. They want more Mutton than Dododex show. And % level after taming not true too.
Here’s how to tame a spino
1. Get a ptramadon
2. Get it’s attention
3. Soot it with trank arrows or trank darts
4.tame it
I just used a bow to know out. Stood on a high cliff and short tranqs at it. Whwn it starts running away it won't hit you if you keep bring its top or down. However do let it get too far or else its top or i will start to drop and it will attack. Also dont run in front of it, it tramples and deals damage
I caught one of these at level 26 and it took me 2 1/2 hours of feeding it and keeping it unconscious. If your impatient like me, then load up your crossbow and fire away. After it’s knocked out, gather loads of narcoberries, fish and regular meat. Keep the fish in its inverntory and load the meat in with narcos. Switch back and forth to make the unconscious bar go up. If you run out a meat, then I’d recommend a raptor to help you collect quicker. Stay in that area while hunting as you don’t want to go so far. It does slow down the taming when you force feed it the narcos and meat. Patience is the key here. Always keep a dinosaur near you to get rid of threats. Taming early has a big impact and dramatically helps you. Just get ready to spend long hours doing so.
The tame and knockout time is different on console (ps4) along with hatch time, please update for console players
I used a Giga style trap, 3 dino gates and a large beartrap with a fourth gate in my inventory, and it worked great. Can’t stress enough that the torpor timer is hectic to keep up with. Good luck out there guys.
How to knock out: Stay at a high place and make sure u have about 35 tranq arrows and shoot him with about 17 and then it should pass out there is about a 63% chance it won't though
Curently taming a 125 accidently took everthing out of its inventory and taming went down 3 percent in 5 seconds, yet they eat like every minute.
Helps significantly, the size, the teeth, the claws,a great player on your dino team.
When taming I like to go on top of a high rock and shoot it
To complete your taming on any dino( exept for passive taming) it is best that you wait until your dino's (knocked out) food number has decreased to a pretty low number so that it eats whatever you feed it faster to finish the taming quicker and maiximize your dino's levels!
