You do not need all the prep to tame a Spino. Simply use large bear traps. Also don’t waste time with narcotics. Bio toxins are much easier to get and work better.

If your on genesis you can find them at lat 59 lon 78.

Pro tip! Have a flyer or mount that you can fire weapons from if you dont want to use a trap. Please do not attempt to tame on foot unless you are stupid fast! They will run you down and if you do manage to survive than good luck chasing it.

You’ve probably already seen this but the best trap for a spino is 4 normal sized Dino gateways and a bear trap. Place the traps in a square shape but leave the last one open, don’t place it yet. Place down a bear trap, lead it to the bear trap then but the gate behind it and boom.

For low levels all you need is height, 10 tranq darts (get more just incase) 30 narcotics and 20 fish. Shoot it, feed it with narcotics (and fish) until it get to like 94% tame, and you should have a spino. I did exactly that, died once but it got knocked out when I respawned and now I have a level 4 green spino! Goodluck!

This kind of only works on people who play ark mobile

1. Tame the dolphin thing, whatever they’re called

2. Make a ton of tanq arrows, bio toxin or narcotic works pretty good.

3. Ride your dolphin to a spoon, all creatures in ark mobile will ignore your dolphin and you, perfect for killing and taming large creatures

4. Find a Spino, I found mine near the swamp area where the big mammals are.

5. Knock out your spino

6. Tame it (biotoxin from jelly’s are highly recommended.) Good luck😀

Stop using plain ol` meat! Use fish! It flies through!

I'd take a spino over a rex simply because they are arks ATV's. They can cover mountains, rocks, and can swim very well. They're also very good for conquering the swamp.

Only capture a high level spino anything else will be a waste of your time and effort. As you will find the low levels to be as squishy as a pillow

DON'T waste time on feeding it normal meat l.

Feed it FISH/PRIME FISH meat to make is little bit quicker.

Make trap because they run faster than U when going to be killed or torpidity is high.Their saddle opens at lvl 71 they can be found anywhere near water(instead of swamp,thier swamp spawn rate is lowwww)And they don't damage stone :)

How to find a high level spino or baryonyx on mobile:

Just north of south zone 2 there is a river. Head up river until you see the river branch off to your right (eastwards) near 78/60. Along this branch of the river spino and baryonyx spawn a lot. If you don’t see a good one just kill every fish in the river and come back. Just tamed a lvl 140 spino and lvl 145 baryonyx after doing this for about 2 hours.

Be careful tho this river has a lot of raptors and sometimes carnos and alpha raptors along its bank.

Easier to find than theris, rexes and megatheriums and have more health and damage too. I cannot stress just how much better spinos are than the three so called ‘boss Dino’s’ Use spinos for all bosses on the island.

You Need:

1 Longneck Rifle

10 Tranquelizer Bullets

15 Normal Bullets

To be Good Leveled in running Speed

100 Narcoberries

First you Need To Help him fight Every other Creatires in His near (there are Always some) when Hes done fighting with them and has eaten their corpse, He will Chase you, Just give him easy headshots with the Tranquelizer Bullets, (that is easy cause He constantly Looks at you). Then knock him Out. After knocking him Out you Need weapons or Dinos to clear the area of ANY Predators, (thats what the Bullets are for).

After knocking Out, give him Prime meat and fill him constantly with Narco (Berries Work too).

And congratulations! You've Made yourself a "Mister Spy"

Anyone know how to get rid of a spino who just stands there and will not move away from your base ;-;

Tamed one with raw meat only and it took at least 5 ark days.

These guys are TANKS. They’re stronger than a Rex, but slow on land. I recommend though. Use them for getting around in water areas to fight off creatures like a sabertooth salmon on megapirhana. 10/10! Tame one!

When taming make sure u get a lot of prime bc that will help much more. Spinos are honestly the best tame ever so u want to tame one.

How to tame a Spino!

2 METHODS

Method 1 - Trapping (Easiest, Most Expensive)

Materials: 9x stone foundations, 24x stone double doorframe, 6x stone ramps.

Place the foundations in a 3x3 square, then 2 layers vertically of double doorframes along the edges. Then make a place the ramps along one wall.

Use a flyer (Pteranodon or Argentavis) and get the Spino to aggro on you. Then lead it up the ramp and into the trap. Then land and start shooting it with your tranq ammo of choice.

Method 2 - Pillar (Harder, Less Expensive)

Materials: 10x-15x stone pillars, 10x-15x ladders.

Place the pillars on top of each other, then ladders going up the pillars.

Get the Spino’s aggro and then go up the pillar on the ladder. When you get to the top, turn around and start shooting it with your tranq ammo of choice.

Where it gets difficult is when it starts torpor running . You must go down the ladder and follow it while shooting it, but it is faster than you, so this is easier said than done.

USES

They have good stamina, melee, and okay health, and they also can breathe underwater.

They get an infinite buff when in the water and lasts for 30 seconds after you leave the water.

They have 2 types of stances, the 2-legged stance and the 4-legged stance. When on 4 legs they will run faster but less attack ddamage. When on 2 legs they run slower but have more attack damage.
