If you see a spino on spawn try to get wooden spikes and surround your base then lure it toward you get in your base and let the spikes to its thing

They can spawn in the easy spawn near the swamp so be cared full ,but you can kill it very easy with some triceratops

Spinosauruses are easy to deal with a low levels.

Simply follow the ‘nopeasaurus’ rule, which states that so long as it isn’t running at you, you still have the opportunity to leg it around or away from the dangerous dino. I have used this rule many times with rexes, spinos, therozinos and more

Make a stone tower 5 walls high with a ladder on the inside and put the door on one of the sides of the tower then put a box with 30 tank arrows then shoot the spino with a flare gun then get ready for a month of taming they can take a long time oh and they tame best with raw prime fish but if you have any it still can take a while but it is well worth it and they are very strong and are better than a t rex and are faster than you a t rex to make sure you get flack stuff

Use shocking tranq darts with longneck rifle should take about 5 and use bio toxin for torpor drain, but this is if you have access to a fabricator!

Can get a lot of bio toxin bumb this up ppl come on, they are worth something atleast.

I was on offline (mobile) when this happened, so a quick brief before we start,

I completed the dilo hunting pursuit, and i got an ascendants bow which had 135 damage, I’m in S1, The Island (don’t spawn here).

I started my Megapirahna hunting pursuit, then turns out the location of the MP was right beside a spino, so i took the spino out with ease, then when i killed it, i saw another one fighting a bronto(bronto killed), and killed that one too, THEN out of nowhere at my back i saw another spino, I was like... How and why is there another spino here? I shot it again with my bow and it took a lot more shots. So here i killed 3 spinos in a row, a lvl 3, 5, and 11.

Pls help me. SPINO right outside my base. PLZ upvote to save my base. Becuz I am low-level I don't have a smelter to smelt iron I don't have iron weapons and stuff.

I tamed this thing WITHOUT using any traps. It's simple just get about 20 or 10 tranq arrows then shoot it. Always remember to tame a low level. I tamed a level 10 and it was not easy. Make sure you have 20 cooked prime meat. You'll also need 70 narcotic which you can put it in the inventory of the spino then feed him with it. You'll have to wait and keep feeding it just keep it unconcius so the hunger of the spino decreases. Make it to 2135 hunger so you can put your cooked prime meat and tame it. Now you know how to tame it. Be the king of the island!!!

Spinos don't have much torpidaty so make sure you have a lot of narcotics but this does depend on the level

Too overrated, they say it is better because it is “cooler” than Rex

Here are my reasons:

Rex is wayyy more tanky

Rex doesn’t have to go in rivers

Rex is easier to tame

Rex is better for boss fights

Rex can one shot more creature

I posted a tip saying that in real life the spino would lose in a fight against a Rex. The reason why is because the spino is lighter has a weeker jaw strength less bulky and is built for catching fish due to this the rex would realistically win in a fight if they were ever to cross paths but near the water it’s a 60% win for the spino but in the water it’s more of a 97% win for the spino so it could win but would have to be in or near water. Just to mention the rex has the second strongest bite ever the strongest bite belongs to the megalodon. By the way people I’m a spino fan not a Rex fan so don’t think I’m a Rex fan because I posted this tip I just want to clear things up and because when I posted a tip similar to this it was disliked by someone and now I can’t find it on another account so I wanted to post this tip to show you what the results in a battle would probably be like but in the game spino would most likely win. Quick mention the spino design in the game looks very different from the more resent design for the spino also it was most likely not bipedal and was lighter than the rex to help with swimming also it had a tail similar to a tadpoles so the spino was more built for the water due to this rex would realistically win in a fight - A.L.N.A

When I tamed my first Spino, I was only lv 39!

Here’s some tips. They’re mostly found in the southeast shores, and the southern islets. However, they can sometimes spawn IN THE SNOWY MOUNTAINS! To knock out a Spino, I didn’t use trap method. I just ran up a cliff and tranq it out. However, the cliff taming method is hard, as the Spino has torpor run. Be sure to have tons of narcotics and bio toxin, as their torpor drops fast. DO NOT USE NARCOBERRIES! NARCOBERRIES CAN ONLY BE FED ONCE EVERYTIME THE SPINO EATS A MEAT, MAKING IT EXTREMELY EASY TO WAKE UP!

Heres the tools you need:

Do the hunt dilophosaur quest and get a good bow (otherwise use crossbow)

Craft about 100 tranqs (if the level is high craft way more than THAT.)

Medical brews/cooked meat if you need to Regen

A Dino that is fast. I use Sarcos as they’re tanky, fast in water, and can take out annoying aggressive small creatures instantly. I also recommend Gallimimus (not used for engage in battle!), and other fast creatures. The most common method I use is to go right in front of the Spino, and tranq it on my sarco. When my sarco is low, I’ll just hop into the water and continue to tranq it. This way, it’s easy, and when you need to chase it during torpor run, you can just hop right off and chase it. Use fish meat! There are so many rivers nearby! You can also use prime fish meat (if you have sickle), as the local population of salmons are plentiful. Up if you think this is helpful!

Careful when taming because these guys are really fast so I recommend trapping them or get high ground

On mobile if on a server, if u get exactly 100 percent taming, it won’t wake up. Man my spino is sleepy
