I got mine from hopping on beefed sarco shot it with tranq arrows on crossbow and with about 16-20 it was tamable so then throw prime or regular fish meat and should go easy as long as you have at least 30-45 narcotic or 15-20 biotoxin with you

How To Trap Your Spino

a comprehensive guide on how to make a stupid lil cage for your megametrodon.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

16x stone foundation

48x stone doorway

12x wooden ramp

1x crossbow

30-70x tranq arrows (may take less or more depending on level)

now that youre all readied up, find your ideal spino!

i recommend searching in south zone 1, as it has a guaranteed spino spawn. they are also common in river deltas / streams near the beach. if you cant find any, kill some fish as they share a spawn.

now, how to build a trap.

step 1: place your stone foundations in a 4x4 on the ground

step 2: place your doorways in rows of 3 on each side of the trap (kinda like a carno trap).

step 3: place your wooden ramps in rows of 3 on whichever side you see fit.

now that your trap is set down, lure over your spino! preferably use a flyer, although you can also lure them over with your crossbow.

now that theyre in your trap, pump a truckload of tranqs into them until they fall asleep!

their torpor falls relatively quickly, so i suggest loading up on narcotics to feed them. the easiest and most efficient way to feed them is with raw prime fish meat, however if you have expectional kibble or raw mutton then those 2 work better.

Their coloration tends to resemble where they spawn, for example if it spawns in the river outside the snow zone it’s gonna be white, if it spawns in the redwoods it’s gonna be red, if it spawns in a rocky area it’s gonna be grey, if it spawns near a beach it’s gonna be orange or yellow, etc, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for a specific colour… this can also make them hard to spot from a distance if you’re not specifically looking for them though the sail can sometimes give them away as it doesn’t always follow this rule

When I was looking for a Spinosaurus I found like three or four

these dudes, in my opinion and many others, are better than rexes. sure, rexes are super cool-looking and popular and powerful as well, but the spino is so much less resource consuming. it takes less than half the amount of tranq arrows/darts to knock out a max level spino than you need to knock out a max level rex. also, if you are in battle and you happen to be using a spino, make sure to touch water while on the spino. the water buff increases your chances of winning by a lot. the only downside about spinos, in my opinion, is the saddle. compared to the rexes saddle, the spino saddle is a tad more expensive than a rexes saddle. up this if you found this useful! -J

Spinos have a better attack speed than a rex

you use three metal billboards in a box and lure it into the box and then box it in by placing a metal billboard to trap it and you can slip in and out the trap. Or you can make a 3 by 3 of stone and wall it up 2 doorframes high so you can get in and out, make stone stairs for the spino to walk up and fall into the cage. Or the EASIEST lure it towards stegosaurus or small tanks until it gets into its running stage (topor running) then shoot it a few times while riding a fast tame that can go under water or on water (pelagornis) and then give it fish meat or raw meat and DONT WORRY IF IT IS KNOCKED OUT IN THE WATER IT CAN BREATH UNDER WATER.

These water doggies are VERY strong and can deal tons of damage. I once Single handedly went on isle of DEATH with these puppers. However, on Mobile, ALWAYS bring soothing balms! They help a lot.

I recommend using a triceratops to farm narcoberries to keep it asleep

To knock it out make a wooden box made out of door thing without placing the doors,make a ramp made out of wood on whatever side you want,shoot it go over the ramp while it's following you go through the door thing and trap it

I recommend using crossbow and tranq arrows

For some reason I can easily tame this but not a beelzebufo 💀 anyways you will need:

You need to find something like a cliff and shoot it from there.

They are common on the 4th from bottom waterfalls, I have a base on the 2 waterfall, one of them came down and my base was crushed, but the reward of having a pet spino is worth it

Spinos are great on the Center map. Because of the large bodies of water you can traverse swaths of the map easily, and quickly. Personal favorite mount due to speed, agility, and wide AOE attack. Also, way easier to steer than those awful Rexs.

It gathers more resources when in two legs, Also does stomp damage If you run into something straight, If u combo this with the slap,u can add about 60+ damage

They are easier to knock then you think set a trap or get on a hill we’re he can’t get you and then use trank arrows or darts around 30 depends on the level tho then when you knock it put fish meat in its inventory if you don’t want to use prime meat put bio toxin from jellyfish in as well and feed to the spino every time he gets low on the knocked bar also kill preadotors in the area have fun with your spino :)

Use a trap at least 3 walls high ( no windows or doorframes instead of walls). Its torpor run comes quick and takes him to hell and not back. Don’t knock him in water because it drowns.

Don’t fight it in the water.I did it and I died
