With night vision you kan take a look underwater

You can use them to deflate gasbags with the ice ability or whatever it's called

If dive bomb at the edge of a ledge or cliff then (if at slight enough angle to not freeze and lose your momentum) you will be sent flying forward at the speed you we’re going when you dived, and you will not lose stamina.

P.S this counts as falling, so you can’t control were your going. Also you will take fall damage so start flying again before you hit the groung

P.P.S also works with griffins

These bad boys are super useful for taming, they can help you grow plants, slow down things you’re shooting with tranq with their dive, they can heal low hp wild animals so you don’t kill them and etc. Did I say they can detect wild creatures in the dark too? Best airborne mount before wyvern and rock drake.

THEY CAN LAND ON TREES very useful when taming

It’s an op mount that can use a thermal vision that is very helpful for taming. You can freeze other dinosaurs and build a trap around it.

And you will then heal them but it does use a lot of stamina so be careful

Use these guys to help get blood packs for a bloodstalker use the syringe until your health is about 20-30 then freeze urself untill your back to full health just repeat that process untill you have as many as you need👍

If you want to raise Babie wyverns but you can get wyvern milk to feed the babie use the snow owls healing ability when the babie is starving until it is adolescent then feed the wyvern meat

Snow owls are great replacements for daedons, if you don't have any. Though you do need the saddle, they can heal you, and other dinos, (including wild ones, extremely useful for taming) REALLY fast if you encapsulate yourself. I was overheating in a wyvern trench on fjordur, and stopped for a second to heal, taking it extremely quickly so that I could keep running away from the wyverns trying to get their children back. The only problem with this is, that it takes a TON of hunger from you.

It can heal other Dino’s, make really good fertilizer (also gacha’s preferred food), it’s fast, BUT cannot pick of things

Saddles can be crafted on Fjordur by deselecting the “Island Only” engram specificity in the top bar of the engram page. They can walk backwards and fall glide like a griffin. Plus, the heal freeze for easy taming makes this bird a must-have.

Dive bomb your target from directly above, go into freeze/heal before hitting the ground/target to temporarily stun it. If you hit the target directly, while midair, the target will freeze and fall to the ground, with you. Place dino gates / doors in quickslot, for instant trap.

If you press freeze while flying forward , you will fall while freezing, making you and every creature on the AoE freezer as soon you touch the ground.

To tame a snow owl on extinction I recommend finding one in a large abandoned structure or building a bird trap with ston Dino gateways. Once tamd they are extremely useful having the ability to dive midair, heal your other tames with stamina, see in thermal vision and freeze your enemies solid. Definitely one of the most interesting and useful flyers in the game just be careful as they don’t have amazing health. Next I will be doing one of the following: magmasaur, megachelon, astrocetus, bloodstalker or ferox

Nothing related to how to tame but the R snow owl has darker blue eyes and antennas. Makes it look nicer in the dark.

Snow Owl's base attack damage is 25 without divebomb. Hopefully this helps for those that are looking for this info.
