Make sure to either trap an owl or tranq it in an open field because these things, if you can even catch it when it's torpor is high, will almost all of the time fly to the river in the snow dome and get stuck in one of the cliffs on the rivers sides. Every single one I've tried to tame has drowned.

Kill what ever its attacking (most of the time it attacks things) then fly up to it with a pteranodon eat a rare flower then go to a gate way trap jump off and run away in a straight line (their turning circle is very bad) then run back to trap when its finished turning

These owls are life savers when tranquilizing goes wrong cause i have one named jorden (now jessica) cause she KILLS EVERYTHING that attacks me i feel like i owe her somthing 🥲

I used an argy trap it was very easy!!!! 3 Dino gates later I got myself a snow owl! ((Would highly recommend this it's my first ever snow owl and I had an argy trap up and ready))

It can heal other Dino’s, make really good fertilizer (also gacha’s preferred food), it’s fast, BUT cannot pick of things

Freezes and heals you and Dino's nearby. Also dives like a Griffin with heat vision.

The snow owl has a surprisingly small body and can fit through much smaller gaps than the argentavis. It's great for trapping other flyers and healing stuff you're trying to tame.

Saddles can be crafted on Fjordur by deselecting the “Island Only” engram specificity in the top bar of the engram page. They can walk backwards and fall glide like a griffin. Plus, the heal freeze for easy taming makes this bird a must-have.

Dive bomb your target from directly above, go into freeze/heal before hitting the ground/target to temporarily stun it. If you hit the target directly, while midair, the target will freeze and fall to the ground, with you. Place dino gates / doors in quickslot, for instant trap.

To tame a snow owl on extinction I recommend finding one in a large abandoned structure or building a bird trap with ston Dino gateways. Once tamd they are extremely useful having the ability to dive midair, heal your other tames with stamina, see in thermal vision and freeze your enemies solid. Definitely one of the most interesting and useful flyers in the game just be careful as they don’t have amazing health. Next I will be doing one of the following: magmasaur, megachelon, astrocetus, bloodstalker or ferox

Nothing related to how to tame but the R snow owl has darker blue eyes and antennas. Makes it look nicer in the dark.

Snow Owl's base attack damage is 25 without divebomb. Hopefully this helps for those that are looking for this info.

Don't worry about food... Tamed 125 with raw meat in like half hour without giving extra narcs

If you press freeze while flying forward , you will fall while freezing, making you and every creature on the AoE freezer as soon you touch the ground.

If u encounter it then i think u should lay down and shoot it from there if u can because it cant pickup stuff so it just flus in a circle trying to kill u

In a sea of lightning wyverns this and quetzal that the snow owl stands as a beacon of hope while also bullying the frost wyvern and pig.

Its more efficient at healing than the pig due to a lower food drain and is great at killing wyverns because it just freezes the rider off and gets them to fall to their demise. And unlike the frost wyver their easier to obtain. Plus they have some use. Everything the frost wyvern wished it could be.
