make sure you kill ALL the damn mammonths befor trying to tame them cause when its on a mammoth it wont go off it easily...so funny how they attaking but never hit 😂😂

Most obnoxious thing to find in astraeos because they are a rare spawn and just love to go after everything and die EXPECALLY MAMMOTHS. 😭

The Snow Owl’s healing ability is really good for farming blood packs. Just use the syringe as much as you can, then jump on the owl and heal. Bring a lot of food as the healing drains your hunger a lot.

When tamed u can use ice dive move to get quetzals tapejaras or tropos. To the ground like if helpful

So make sure you have it trapped before you try to tame it because it will take off and fly rampant across the whole map and lead you on a wild goose chase, this happens when it is close to being knocked out. This happened to me twice, once it lead me to a giga then flew into its mouth then the second time across the map for 30 mins. Also make sure you use tranq darts because arrows will kill them.

An imprinted snow owl will have faster movement speed

Make a harpoon gun and net projectiles

It’s a good old knockout tame, but make sure you use trap to trap it first

Use these guys to tame quetzal

Freeze the quetzal in the air then put gates on it

Basically the product of an Argy (high weight and looks like one, minus the corrupted face), Daeodon (healing), and Griffin (dive attack). I would pick these over almost any Extinction creature, besides Velonasaur. And yes, this includes the Managarmr.

With my experience, in extinction and lost island, look in the arctic, gen 2 up on hills, and I only find them I fjordr on random hills - FangClaw

While trying to knock it out, make sure it isn’t too damaged as it doesn’t have too much health, trying to tame it with a crossbow could kill it. If you have a snow owl it makes it easier to tame as it can be healed by the owl (of course to tame it easier you need the creature)

You can find it in the snow, it can be found in a group of two (not sure if here can be more) sometimes the group gets split up

Recommended to use pteranodon or any other fast bird. Once you have spotted one, build a trap consisting of 4 gates in a line with small gaps so the snow owl can’t fly out. Place one door on the side that is farther away from the bird and leave to other one open. Then take your bird and agro the bird by flying close to it or shooting it. Once it is near the trap dismount and punch it so it attacks you and not the bird. You also wanna make sure your bird is passive for this. Then lure it into the trap and once it’s in put the door on and tranq it. You could then feed it the recommended food and once it done taming you have a snow owl.

Argy, but with a twist. They deal “true” damage, albeit low, thus not hitting anything that is wild. Only carnivores agro to it. To tame, build a 3x2 cage, make it three frames high, put a gate frame with a gate(make sure to put it on auto close and open) on the 2-wide end of it and cover the whole thing with ceilings. Then pick up one of the frames. Kite it into the cage with a ptera and fly out of the opening you’ve made. Congrats, you’ve trapped yourself an owl. Use tranq darts - they are pretty fragile.

Griffins are tamed the same way.
