i’m playing on extinction and i went to get snow owls and it took forever to find one so i settled with a lvl 65 which isn’t bad but not great, anyways i built the trap (4 gateways 2 gates) and i just couldn’t get it in the trap so i just used my argy as a tank/target and loaded it with tranqs, so if your struggling to get it in the trap and you have a high health dino with you just use that as a target for the owl while you knock it out

ARK patched how much they eat. Don’t worry about that now but still keep an eye on it. Eats 2 at a time now instead of 5.
WARNING: When raising one of these prior to hatching be sure to have at least 3 fridges full of meat because these babies are absolutely savage and eat around three to five meat at a time! Help spread the word!
NET GUNS!!! No more making yourself dizzy trying to shoot these damn things in the face. Net gun them and keep a Dino to watch you back. Super easy to check levels that way too. Up so more people see this
Since no one is saying it, R-Snow Owl spawns on the bottom left side of the right half of the Genesis 2 map. Up in the mountains.
Bolas are useless, make trap for this one!
(HKW TO GET SADDLE) Just turn on extinction engrams to learn snow owl saddle blueprint. You dont have to buy the dlc, fjordur dlc already unlock all engrams but you must turn on it.
Regular argy trap works. Tested this on August 15 2020 :)
These mf babies eat like gigss! Had 4 full feeding troughs for two juveniles, wasn't even gone for more than a 3-4 hours and the feeding troughs were empty and the owls were dead.There were no other meat eating tames near the troughs JUST THE OWLS.
Don’t make a expensive trap, just use a net gun. If you are on Lost Island, search up “net” on the Genis part 2 engrams.
They spawn on the right side on gen2 by the mountains near the top of the map
