You can lead them into a cage what is by far the best way to tame them - will likely get patched!

There's a ton of these guys in the desert around 90, 80.

Dessert bio at the bottom of the map near tree and you will probably find them

Walk up to it till you see hearts, then crouch and let it land in front of you, then you just passive feed chitin

Chitin is the best way to tame them I think

I found the spawn command if anyone wants to spawn a sinomacrops the command is gmsummon "sinomacrops_character_bp_c" 150 0 0

This Is How To Spawn In The Sinomacrops First Pawse The Game And Open The Admin Command So I Only Know How To Do It On The Xbox So If Your Doing This On Xbox Your In Luck So You Have To Press LB And RB And X Y All At The Same Time Then Press A On The Admin Command Bar And Type In Sdf Sino 1 And After The One Put Whatever Number You Want Becuse That’s The Level Of The Sinomacrops Then Press A On The Blue Bar That Says ADMIN COMMAND Then Press B Or The Blue Bar That Says RESUME To Get Out And That’s It.

Way more chance of it noticing you, if you stand instead of crouch . however after it’s in front of you crouch it won’t go as far when it scares away after you feed because it’ll lose detection of you .

Snow owls are a great way to find them because they are small and fast

If you are looking for chitin to tame it, go to the desert on lost island. You will see a lot of chiton giving creatures you can kill for chitin.

I don't know who thought it was funny to put that you must wear chitin armor but that is a huge mistake and you can not use any kind of cage or trap the best thing to do is track it use a flyer follow it every where it goes and stay about 30 meters away from it. It will do the rest

To tame one of these creatures is an absolute hassle, but a simple trap can make your live 10x easier.

What’s needed?

- 6 standing torches

- 1 sign

(You can get this from one or two trees)

Once you get your resources you need to locate this dino(any level works) and get it to approach you and once it does don’t move. You need to put the 6 torches around it, one near each leg and one on each side of it. You must remain still with chitin in your last spot for this to work, and it will wait for you to do so however long you need. The most crucial part is the sign, place the sign in a position where when rotated it will act as a roof above your contraption you made.

This may take quite a while so get a snack or something and enjoy your new dino!

You should kill all dinos cause they are very shy and go easy passiv mode and then u should tame it with chitin

Can actually trap these guys all you need is some standing torches and a sign. Place them in a circle around it when they land. So much easier

Easiest way I've seen to tame these is to use a cage! Wait until it walks up to you, and trap it. It flies around, but it walks back to you when it wants more chitin. Only eats chitin when tamed!

You have to let it get a certain distance away from you or it will lose effectiveness

I was taming in a roofless building with walls and doors. The sinomacrops walked in the door. I fed it and kept taming the other Dino. It kept coming back until it tamed! No reason to chase it. Something to do with a roofless building helped?
