Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a sinomacrops? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a sinomacrops.
I searched half the map for these little guys but couldn't find them anywhere EXCEPT the large trench located in the jungle in the center of the map. (The trench may have spinos, sarcos, arthos, and tintana boas) If you enter the trench and can't find them try looking up river in the trench (near the waterfall and lake in the trench). If you go tho this trench I guarantee you will find them. Once you find them if you have chiton they are pretty easy to tame.
Northern coast of the island is the best place I have found for them to spawn and tame them. Rafts are particularly useful. Over the water is the best place to tame since there are very few predators and they will be forced to land on your raft. Passive tame. Do not move toward them while they display hearts or while they are landing and walking to you. Backing up is ok. Walking to them will cause them to flee and loose taming effectiveness. Also, very important, do not crowd them. If they are almost ready to come to you for a feeding, and you approach them too quickly, they will go very far away. Up to 200m. Between 20-30m and they will be encouraged to feed often. I tamed a lvl 135 which took about 10 feeds in under 7 minutes. The raft seems to make it easier to follow them, since they are tiny and can be lost in the jungle canopy or attacked by dilos, compies or raptors when landing to feed from you. Lastly, it does not seem to affect their behavior if you already have a tamed one on your back. Other tamed species will spook them and cause them to avoid landing, which can make taming take forever.

You can trap them now. Just use standing torches and a sign. It’s on YouTube
Let it land and place a cage. Walk behind cage it will go inside go inside and close door and feed easy tame. You’re welcome 😉
Have chitin on last slot get close when you see hearts stay still it will come to you, feed it, track it, follow it when you see hearts again don’t move let it come to you. They get scared if you move.
Tames passively with chitin 👍 easy
Passive tame. Use chitin in last slot of hot bar.
Feed it chitin, wait for heart above head to see when it needs to be feed again.

Make it as my pet
And let it have a egg
- if you bring other tames with you to find one of these, leave them a ways away, as their presence may scare the sinos
- they won't notice you unless you're within less than 40 meters, at least from my experience
- once it notices you, stop moving or else you might spook it. wait for it to come to you
- track it with the taming hud. trust me, it can be tough to follow without it
- if you hit them or they take some other damage while taming, taming percentage goes back to zero
good luck!
wearing chitin armor gives you 100% taming increase and boost when tamed, + makes it easier to get it to come to you! make sure your prepared as they can aggro on you easily.. (this is purely a joke does it seem believable though lololl)
Can trap with a bola, a wooden sign, and 3 box’s. Must get every feed or it will attack. But if it gets out it won’t effect taming.
Breeding .... " Sina want care from shanks! ".....what is shanks?
When taming make sure it does not go anywhere dangerous because if it gets hit no matter how high it was even if it was 99.99% it will go all the way back down to 0% and ruin your day
Can I put tent over them? I know I know you cant get silk on lost island but can you?
I found one of the best way to tame.(for me) is that ifbyou can give it one food and set the marker to track. Walk to it and on like 35-40 meters walk BACKWARDS to it and turn to face it.it will come to you way easyer and faster. Up if this helped
So hard to tame this MF, it's stressing
Their passive tames and will land you give them chitin (put in lass spot) they will attack you if you were chitin
Use the Tame Tracker function in your menu to help prevent losing the thing once it takes off from a feeding.
Time is not right they fly away and u need much more than 8 min
On ps4 I tried tame 10 all starved lost health ones on coast seem bugged go in land they seem ok
