Avoid attacking a Shinehorn; it is a passive, harmless creature rather than a combat opponent. If you want to tame one, clear nearby Nameless and other threats first, lure them away, then feed the Shinehorn the appropriate mushrooms while keeping the area safe.
The first time I encounterd a Shinehorn was eith my tribemate. We were walking in the blue biome (or how do you call it) and then this little adorable thing jumped out of a bush and jumped happily around. We bought thought this was one of the cutest things ever... but then there was Ark again. A Megalosaurus came over and slaughtered it. I have never laughed so much befor.
I have played 2000 hours of ark and I have never fought a more feirce and terrifying animal do not engage with these rabid monsters
