They have a really slow bite animation so what you should do is chain attacks with them by spamming the other skills. You need to spam leaps, turn your cam around towards the dino and basic attack before continuing the cycle. Many called it trash because it attacks slow but in reality, it has to spam different attacks in order to be viable in battles. Really fast underwater aswell.

Love these guys more than the Meg. You can surface in water and will stay afloat, while at the same stand on your Sarco without being seated on the saddle (you won't jump off to the side when coming off of the saddle). So you can aim your weapon at any direction basically.

Creatures you need in ARK

Kaprosuchus- they drain stamina of any creature and they are good on both land and water

Sarcosuchus- They are good for land and water travel and unlike the Kaprosuchus they have decent carry weight

Deinonychus- they are stronger than you think

If you lvl them up these guys can easily take out megaladons.

The dododex speed says that the base speed of a tamed sarco is 1000, tho it got changed at the TLC. It can sprint underwater and it does make a difference. I think it's actual speed is close to 1500. Piranha's are scared of the sarco so they will never come near it, which is nice.

If you have meat and you are in water with sarco nothing can stop you.just keep moving it's stamina is unlimited . It convert meat into stamina. You better know about its speed in water.

They have a poor vertical swim rate so the don’t dive or surface very fast but they are great for loony distance water travel.

If you get a max level Sarco you are set for fish meat and sea transportation Megs are just as good but not a versatile

Be very careful when riding these in your water pen, was just trying to park my male when he torpedoed into the dock, launched himself into the air and instantly killed himself

(mobile) Sarcos do not do well as a battle mount in deep waters. Not just because of their narrow attack range, low dps and slow vertical swimming speed. They consume food like crazy. Ever saw tips telling you this creature or that uses extreme amounts of food? Like Giga or Daedon? Well, Sarco is one of them. Its food stat drains faster than it can automatically consume, which is fine if you're going for relatively short trips like pearl diving or angler hunting, but it is a problem if you're doing something time-consuming like leading a Leeds halfway around the map back to your base. Even on high levels (442 after tame for instance) your sarco will slowly starve even when there's still a stack of meat in its inventory. An Icthy works better as a travel mount while most other underwater creatures are better for combat. If you're looking for an underwater specialist, only choose the sarco if you don't have access to other creatures yet. (Or use a bary)

(Mobile) Early-Midgame tame, quickly becomes useless after you acquire a good x-bow and tranq arrows. Mediocre health, somewhat good damage but extremely low attack rate and dps, low vertical diving speed, large turning radius and weird attack range...only saving grace is that it's unmatched in rivers, and compared to other midgame tames, very easy to kite/trap and knockout. However, the sarco's got two glitches in its favor. Spyglass and invisiglitch. Thanks to its long attack animation and high damage, spyglass can increase its dps immensely. And sarcos can be found and tamed in the Clever cave, it shares the other cave creatures's invisible glitch. Combine the two and you have an untargetable killing machine. Still not as powerful as the lategame predators and quite useless on multiplayer but still impressive.

Best swimmers but in land it is a hell but a good dino to tame it

Used to solo tame a plesiosaur.

No cap my level 84 sarco (I was Riding him) was exploring the ocean and absolutely destroyed a level 135 megalodon and the sarco wasn't even less than 90% hp when the battle ended

I have a base on Herbivore Island and I transport metal ingots from there to my base with my Sarco. I personally think it’s an ok transport Dino in early to mid game. Especially for long distances.

If you want to breed them you can breed up to four females

I use my sarco to take down alpha raptors and even carnos but lately theirs been a glitch that my sarco randomly died when fight a alpha carno 10k hp left and just died

With the new addition (death roll) keep an eye on the Torpidity level. To much spinning will knock your sarco out like it did mine. It will take forever to wake back up so make sure you also have good weaponry/armor in case you end up playing body guard for your sarco.

I have three sarcos Fangtooth,Crockey and Swamp. I seen them kill a few mantas and a meg.
