These are ok water mounts if you have nothing else not so great land mounts! Lost a 232 sarco on neutral to lvl 5 piranha!! Taken to deep sea was again ok but turning ark is tearable making it easy for any enemy to get behind.. had to jump off loads to kill enemy because of this..

Ok mount to help tame real water mount because you can lead shark into land then pop sarco on bank while you knock out shark... used this mount to tame ples and moss again worked but any mount that does not wonder off (Beaver) can be used for these... still it's worth having a go and there stupid fast in water for get round and it's a gator you can ride

A lesser known use of the Sarco I think is that it makes taming a lot of easier just find the thing you want to tame lead it to the water with your Sarco and shoot it with tranqs but make sure you don’t knock it out in the water most animals can’t reach you in the water as the Sarco is fast so it’s danger free tame for you and your Sarco no need for traps or anything I have tamed rexes, spinos, and many other things this way

Just tamed one of these, its attack rarely hits and it is pretty much useless, I will tame another to make sure but I wanted this to farm meat.... can't kill a dodo???

These guys are great for taking into the swamp and rivers, they are fast and powerful and have a med size AoE so they are good for leech hunting. They have decent stam so they are good for fishing and hunting in the water, always good to chase things into the water so you can easily catch up and eat them.

Not so good on land it ok if you live near the water easy fish meet like we need 700 fish meet in 30 minutes:p we lvl them up to 168 and give them away to new guys to help them and easy to kill with pike

Sarcos use an incredible amount of food while doing pretty much anything. Will eat an entire stack of meat in just one good fight. Really bad mount because of food waste, they do better unmounted. But if they are unmounted they get stuck on everything? What you mean underrated?

Very fast in the water, not so fast on land. It can even swim through the swamp, which makes it a deadly mount or opponent. The main reason i tamed one of these is that it is the only swimming mount that you can use a spyglass on. It also is pretty strong and has decent melee damage.

So what you're telling me is that this thing cannot fit through a dino gate but a t rex can?

There is a weird glitch where if you bite a lystro or dodo, sometimes it’ll push in under the ground and you will never see said small Dino ever again.

If you want chitin and keratin just take these guys and plenty of bullets and/or arrows

As much as I love sarcos, they are completely overshadowed by the Deinosuchus (which is modded but since everyone can use mods now in ASA you should be playing with it). Sarcos are in dire need of a tlc, right now their greatest utility is their speed in water, but since they are land creature as well they dont get omnidirectional movement so they have very poor vertical movement speed. Sarcos also have too wide of a turning radius, the only way they remedy this is their flip around attack but only works well in increments of 90 degrees it seems. They are strong early game and after that they really aren’t great.

Don't go to deep in the ocean with them the water pressure knocks them out I learned that the hard way.:(

To tame u hav to be over lvl 30 or not get tranquil arrows and keep shooting at or do what I did and keep punching it until it goes unconscious

I’ve noticed something -I’m not sure if it’s a glitch- where the sarco, para, dilo, etc. won’t follow if I die. Is there a way to fix this?

Fast af in the water, tanky enough to KO with arrows without worry, it makes an excellent beginning water tame. My favorite part, though, is they make excellent sacrifices when you're taming tusos - they're fast and so much easier to use than turtles, at the expense of reusability; one sarco = one tuso feeding.

If you ever encounter these, make sure you have enough tranqs. These creatures are fast in water, a good attacker if leveled up enough, and are fairly common in swamp biomes. (Other than Gen 1 because they don’t spawn on that map.) Also you can unlock their saddle fairly early at level 35. One of my favorite are creatures. Just don’t use them while fighting bosses, it doesn’t go well usually.
