Super easy tame, there slow, so keep them on land, and just pack lots of tranq arrows and fish. All you need is time.

To the guy that said “ DO NOT listen to the person who wrote the following comment: “DO NOT tame in the lower south cave. It will get stuck on the way out and be trapped there forever.”. If it can’t (which will most likely be the case if tamed down there, because (in my experience) Sarcos struggle just entering the cave with how wide they are. But don’t listen to that guy. Just summon it out in the “Request Creature” tab and wait for it to teleport (I have summoned creatures out of the cave when they get stuck and they teleport just fine). They are very good tame for beginners since they are slow on land and fast in water, and you can easily knock them out because of that, but be careful to not get bitten

If you want to tame a sarco you are gonna need so tranq arrows (20+ tranq arrows reccomended if its under level 10)

Remember to defeat things guys attack and stay at the back legs where they can’t do any damage at all

I defeated 2 with a the 50 damage weapon not killing me one time it is easy get it stuck or get it attack another thing and hit it

How to tame a sarco with ease!

Sarcos are very slow on land, so you want to make sure that you it far from water.

You need to use tranq arrows (or any tranq projectile) and a bow (or crossbow, it doesn’t matter to much).

For levels 5-10 I recommend around 5-10 arrows, 11-20, 15-20 arrows. Basically whatever level it is have the same amount of tranq arrows.

Because of their slowness you can very easily sleep one by just running from it and turning to shoot it a few times, I recommend around 120% speed. Make sure you don’t have a ton of items in your bag that will slow you down.

If you’re in a dangerous place you can simply give it the food you have to tame and hide away since nothing will attack it. :)

These guys are awesome! I have yet to make a saddle even though it was a while ago I unlocked the saddle. For taking, I used a cross bow and tranq arrows. Got it to chase me while I was in my Argy and perched on a rock, shot it quite a few times then fed it raw meat. You can easily tame it on land. Just lure it away from the swamp (look out for all dangerous creatures including the leaping croc, kaprosuchus) and it walks slowly on land. Shoot it and down it!

They are pretty easy to tame if you stay not too far away and just keep shooting them with Tranqs.

THE BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO TAMING SARCO:

1. Get a slingshot and a bunch of stones, and if possible, a bow and tranq arrows

2. Go on the jungle in west zone 1, and try to find sarco (look under cliffs)

3. Shoot it with your bow or slingshot. It cant climb if youre on the cliff

4. Once its unconcious, check if other sarcos are there. If not, walk up to the body and feed it the fish meat. If there are sarcos, shoot them too and feed them the meat.

5. Set timer in this app.

6. Go back to ark, and just wait. You can harvest ferns, chop trees, do whatever. But never lose the location of sarco.

7. Now you have an absolute powerhouse on your side!

I killed one in the water it’s natural environment with my fist because it just swims in a circle it’s not hard to tame better with tranq arrows though

I tamed mine with an journey crossbow with 3 or 4 tranq arrows. Easy KO

Well I managed to tame it with both fish and regular meat by just running around in circles while hitting it until it passed out as it would do the same trying to bite me. I was in the region: The Southern Islets, particularly the part of them with the island where it’s all sand and cliffs, they tend to roam there. They can also roam in the swamp but it’s much harder to tame them so go to The Southern Islets if your going to tame these (look in your status menu in inventory to know which region your in)

Incredibly easy to knock out, they are really slow on land and have a really small attack aoe just beware of its lunge attack when you get close to it and you can easily lose a sarco if it gets in water.

Essentially it’s a weaker spino that’s slower on land but faster in the water. You can find them in the ocean by the most western spawn area

Find Sarco before it finds you. Don't go in the water. Collect wood and stone. Place four foundations near water, walls around two high with two doorways on side away from Sarco. Build ramps on side near water. Make the Sarco chase you up and in with you running out the back. Fill Sarco with tranq arrows. Enjoy mount.

We were taming one when out of nowhere it glitchs through the wall and trys to kill us!

If you ever have a Sarco running up do you on your lower level try steering away from the head because if you punch the back you could possibly tame it

Well it has good loot from it if beginners like me I killed 1 today it has a advace weapons or tools on it.And also it just level 1 to 5 I just killed it by just using a bow and arrow and a tamed parasuar I'd killed it so hit the up arrow so early ark survival players can it

They are slow. You can shoot it with tranks and it will only take around 10-20 depending on the level. Also they take trike kibble. It took me an hour and a half to tame a lvl. 12 with raw meat so use trike kibble to save you some time
