Get on to of a large rock and shoot it with tranquility arrows

Just get on a rock and fire tranq arrows or slingshot if you dont have tranqs

I recommend taming them when you are at a level that can craft tranc arrows.I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAMING IN WATER THESE GUYS ARE INSANELY FAST IN THE WATER.Dart them then lure them on to land then back up tranc back up tranc and you’ll have a new buddy (Get a chef station at lvl 23 for 20 amber) Craft some trike kibble for a faster game.

After losing my stuff 3 times I was finally able to escape these beasts (I was level 9 at the time). A couple levels later I got the courage to tame one, and it was easier than I thought. Standing on a rock I shot 30 or so rocks at him with a slingshot, and was a able to knock him out. Luckily when he tried to flees he got stuck on a tree. Overall he was an easy tame depending on level, and I recommend taking this absolute unit

Use a bow/crossbow with tranks and stay on land if you go in water say goodbye to your stuff 4 ever

Go to a tall rock climb into it and shoot the sarco if you want to make it easier use tranq or slingshot for the slingshot it takes 40 rocks and the tranq 25 if the sarco is level 2 or 9

A tip, use Fish meat over regular meat, from my personal experience, fish meat works way better if you don’t have any prime fish meat

Just stay in the middle of it and club it, it was my first tame on ark use raw fish meat it likes it better then raw meat

How to hunt/tame

They usually are walking by rivers.

Hit with a bola. Get him with club/slingshot/tranq something. he’s easy to knock out.

Give him some food.

He your best friend now.

Tame more.

These guys are easy to kill. Just get out a crossbow or longneck then just run around and shoot it.

To hatch the eggs it only takes to fireplaces with spark powder it normally only takes 15 minutes or more depending on your settings.

When taming these big bois use fish meat instead of normal because it shortens the time it takes to tame it. Up if this helped!

Guys….if ur on mobile u don’t need a slingshot…or tranqs….I tamed uncountable sarcos with a wood bat hitting its hind leg. The first thing u have to do is get it to see u. Once it is close jump over it. It might bite u but that’s ok. Then hit its hind leg until flee then run up the the snout and nock it more. It’s so easy and, ya doing it with ranges weapons are a little easier but either way works fine. I tried on ps4 and it was a little harder but I am a mobile player so don’t take my word for that

This creature is very good as a land and water tame they are slow on land so it is easy to tame on land

One of the easiest dinos to tame, they are incredibly sluggish on land and all one needs to do is walk backwards while shooting them with tranqs.

All you need is a slingshot some rocks raw fish meat and a high rock to sit and shoot on and bam it’s that easy

Use TWO large bear traps and tranq to your hearts content

Shoot from far away then back onto dry land where u can then shoot with tranqs. I needed about fifteen tranqs but it was only lvl. 2

These puppies are a semi-noob's best friend. Find them in swamps and near water holes. They really open up the map to you when you're a noob as they allow you to traverse waterways quite easily and quickly. All you need are some tranquil arrows and a decent distance and some raw meat. I've personally tamed 3 of them. They are also very useful for traveling up coasts and collecting lots of meat from dodos and scouting out those rounded rocks that give good metal. 10/10 my favorite dino.
