If there's one on land next to water, drive by on a boat and pick it up. Make sure you can out run it and make it chase you into a taming pen

These are ok water mounts if you have nothing else not so great land mounts! Lost a 232 sarco on neutral to lvl 5 piranha!! Taken to deep sea was again ok but turning ark is tearable making it easy for any enemy to get behind.. had to jump off loads to kill enemy because of this..

Ok mount to help tame real water mount because you can lead shark into land then pop sarco on bank while you knock out shark... used this mount to tame ples and moss again worked but any mount that does not wonder off (Beaver) can be used for these... still it's worth having a go and there stupid fast in water for get round and it's a gator you can ride

Can get killed by a dodo as long as #1 it’s wild and #2 it has no rider. It just can’t bite it, maybe can bite the dodo once but no more than that. Lystros, compies, and other small creatures also included.

It easy I already tame 3 of them here a tip to tame it

1.get a Trang arrow and bow

2.shoot it at high ground

3.need at least 2 stack of rotten meat

4.enjoy

Just tamed one of these, its attack rarely hits and it is pretty much useless, I will tame another to make sure but I wanted this to farm meat.... can't kill a dodo???

Run as fast as you can do not attack or die

An easy way to tame one of these is get lots of fish meat or raw meat or both , craft a club / one or two or more depending on the health , try to get behind it at its tail and keep hitting the tail , put the fish meat or raw meat or both in its inventory , wait a while and it will be yours ( reminder I did this on mobile I do not know if it works on any other consuls )

Sarcos use an incredible amount of food while doing pretty much anything. Will eat an entire stack of meat in just one good fight. Really bad mount because of food waste, they do better unmounted. But if they are unmounted they get stuck on everything? What you mean underrated?

Idk if it’s a glitch but my sarco uses no stamina in water upvote if glitch down if feature

Very fast in the water, not so fast on land. It can even swim through the swamp, which makes it a deadly mount or opponent. The main reason i tamed one of these is that it is the only swimming mount that you can use a spyglass on. It also is pretty strong and has decent melee damage.

One of those things keep killing me and also killed my 2 dilows and my raptor

Ok so, get a lvl 14 Dodo a few stone arrows and a stone spear, easy sarco kill

There is a weird glitch where if you bite a lystro or dodo, sometimes it’ll push in under the ground and you will never see said small Dino ever again.

These guys are great for taking into the swamp and rivers, they are fast and powerful and have a med size AoE so they are good for leech hunting. They have decent stam so they are good for fishing and hunting in the water, always good to chase things into the water so you can easily catch up and eat them.

So what you're telling me is that this thing cannot fit through a dino gate but a t rex can?

If you want chitin and keratin just take these guys and plenty of bullets and/or arrows

Ok so sarco very op it killed my lvl 4 para so I got my revenge! So I tried to attack it almost killed me so I ran away and then the sarco was fighting one of those beaver things and the beaver won so if u have a sarco prob tame a beaver and u a.ok

Mad slow just use a crossbow even on 1x you can outrun it and tranq that jawn. Usually they are around swamps and if you are taming one for long I suggest putting wood spikes around it to protect it while taming

As much as I love sarcos, they are completely overshadowed by the Deinosuchus (which is modded but since everyone can use mods now in ASA you should be playing with it). Sarcos are in dire need of a tlc, right now their greatest utility is their speed in water, but since they are land creature as well they dont get omnidirectional movement so they have very poor vertical movement speed. Sarcos also have too wide of a turning radius, the only way they remedy this is their flip around attack but only works well in increments of 90 degrees it seems. They are strong early game and after that they really aren’t great.
