Tips & Strategies

What are tips for sarco? Tips and strategies for sarco in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
A tip for newish-players: My Sarco is still only a level twenty-something, by even by level 7, she was killing Titanoboas and kiting megalodons with ease. I can't recommend the Sarco enough as a swamp hunting mount-- and as I said before, ESPECIALLY for Titanoboas. You'll have leather coming in by the hundreds. Just be careful that you go at them head-on, and that you don't take on more than a few beasties at a time. Be especially wary of the Kapro. They'll knock you flat and leave you vulnerable to whatever horrors are crouching in the shadows. Have a pike on hand for those pesky bugs that your Sarco can't reach. And beware, dear reader, the frumious Baryonyx, with jaws that bite and claws that catch. They have a penchant of attacking from the side, making it quite a hastle to get back at them. (At least, from my experiences.) Want to take on other Sarcos with your Sarco? Have no fear. Just get your melee damage up a little bit, and you should be fine.
But as always, tread carefully.
I just tamed one of these but the thing is… I’m scared of the ocean and rivers and that’s all because mega piranhas and those jellyfish things I’m very scared I will get killed and I got a lot of progress so I don’t know what to do now.
this is my 1st dino I tamed in my world since I spawned in south zone 2 and as soon as I spawned I heard light stomping and heavily breathing behind mend I did the spinning technique, knocked him out, fed him narcoberries, and tamed him. (I also killed few other sarcos in the area for prime meat.)
These guys are not actually as strong as you may think they are. If you see a sarco fighting 2 or more low to mid lvl Carbonemys do not try to tame it cuz it will die (or at least get too low for you to tranq without killing it). I have never seen any sarco win a 1v2 against Carbonemys, including the lvl 95 sarco that tried to spawn camp my thatch house when I was just starting and later the lvl 130 sarco that I planned on taming :(
All you need to do is to kill a psycho is use your metal hatchet and start chopping away. It is so easy I am only a newb and I have already killed at least 20
The sarcos is probably the best early to mid game mount it’s high health and stamina make it a pretty fast mount and it levels up pretty fast also not to mention its stamina and health stats level up pretty quick if you were to upgrade them Sarcosuchus are semi aquatic animals meaning the are both land and sea creatures hope this helped
Should I tame this up for you down for no
I have a krapro
Ha a sarco came to my beach stood on a cliff and pumped it full of tranqs. A surprisingly easy knockout but it took me FOREVER to get it tamed ( I used meat because I didn’t know better at the time) and I was constantly worried about dilos attacking. WARNING: BRING BIOTOXIN if you can’t bring biotoxin BRING NARCITICS they WILL need them.
They are pretty cool and easy to tame but if you are not a high level it can be hard
For a low level Sarco use at most 8 tranq arrows make sure it can’t run once knocked out give it meat if You can force feed it a soothing balm after eating 3 or 4 meat boom you have a Sarco up if this was helpful
When encountering I recommend having a land flyer I was using pigdy my pteranodon
And was able to knock it
Easy to get a low level Sarco early game with just a club and some fish meat. Their turning radius is horrible so just stay by the tail and your safe.
It took me 30 seconds to finish taming this beast.
It’s easy just try Sattle is level 35
When you knock out a sarco, you can jump on it like a trampoline, it’s 🤩
There was literally one on the island right next to my island but it wasn't in the swamps....I'm thinking to tame it but I need to know which gator it is. (hopefully not a sarco)....
also I tamed a spino at lvl 20 lol
I've only encountered this while a low lvl so if your in my situation R U N it might be hard to do but don't fight it unless you know you can win without respawning
These things are super cool. They are extremely fast in water, gain stamina instantly in water, but are a little slow on land. They are super easy to tame.
