Brand new to the game. Sarco is awesome. Lured a pack of raptors and a pack of sabertooths into the water and slaughtered them. Slow on land is their only drawback, but they gather meat well and hold plenty so I use them as hunters for reasonable land enemies.

Best not go near the sea of taming these guys

Just don’t go into the water if you see on on land ether kill it or tame it there weakness is landing

Here’s something for the noobs out there it takes 4 arrows and it’s dead and it’s slow on land just don’t go in water

This damn boy is a machine in early game to mid might be hard to find a sarco with an ho under 1k if your a beginner but it is what it is if your lazy to make a trap get your tranqs ready go to a swamp and get it's attention shoot it and run shoot it and run it fells like your fighting Micheal Myers if he ever was a reptile keep going untill he's knocked out the sarco has a long cooldown to feed it again if your at the stage where you unlocked a sword go on a massacre killing diplo and other sarcos and paraar to get prime meat if your scared to go killing then from the start have a ton of narcotics with you when you tame a sarco put the skill points on stamina or health it's damage is already good but if you want go damage and HP if you get a pack of these bad boys your gonna start slaying megalodons easily (if you have a baryonx with you so he can stun)

Early game I had trouble with getting hide. But not after I tamed one of these guys.

Here is how to tame Sarco:

1. Craft a bow and tranq arrows

2. Craft Narcotics

3. Find Sarco

4. Sarcos are big, so find a spot where are a lots of rocks, woods...

5. Shoot tranq arrows at it

6. When it falls feed it raw meat or raw fish meat... don't forget NARCOTICS

7. BOOM now you have a Sarco

I used a slingshot I learned these are freaking tanks my god are fast and strong use your surroundings to your advantage for good knock out use fish meat and some biotoxin to keep it asleep

A good way to attack them is to jump over their snout

To tame get on a rock and pepper it with tranks easiest way

Whatever you do DO NOT GO IN WATER. This thing can swim fater than you. Try to lure it to land. It usually moves faster than your walking speed but slower than your running speed. But if you place it right a level 1 dodo can take it out due to its AI

They take wide turns so stick close to their sides and stab them. Good Luck out there:)

On a side note, just find a tall rock, bring a few slingshots and stones, and start shooting. Relatively easy tame.

So have your friend run in your house with the sarco after him or her and the sarco will try to break the house but it would take a while giving you enough time to shoot a lot of tranq arrows at it while outside the house

There's a 50 percent chance these will spawn AS SOON AS YOU SPAWN IN THE SOUTH ZONE 2

I was given a thylacoleo and I was making my way through the swamp when I was ambushed a sarco it broke half my armour and almost killed but my thylac knocked it out so I decided to tame it. Once it was tamed, I was ambushed by another one which killed my sarco (Killer Crok) and almost killed me but I escaped with my thylac and never went to the swamp again,.

These guys just like to come out of nowhere and bite your Butt off.

It’s easy even a level one can get it if your careful all you have to do is hit it’s back legs that’s there weakness they turn to slow

I really believe Sarcos are one of the most underrated creatures in the game. Yeah, on land it's kind of pathetic, but it's high swim speed coupled with the ability to shoot while mounted make it EXCELLENT for taming aquatic creatures. I prefer using it over ichthyosaurus.

Shoot the target, swim away when it gets too close, rinse and repeat. Or lure targets to the coast and shoot them from the (relative) safety of the beach if you can.

Just be careful if you go exploring the Deep Ocean with them. Combat-wise, a high level Sarco can handle anglers, megalodons and even plesiosaurs (provided you have a good saddle), but you're better off running from everything else. Thankfully they have good stamina and can out-swim most everything that lives in the water.
