step 2:get a soothing balm (try hunter cave)

step 3:get some prime meat just in case

step 4:find a low level griffin (below 60)

step 5:start with kibble when kibbles are done use prime meat.

step 6:use bio toxin so it would not wake up

step 7: you just tamed your very own griffin!

They can't follow you if your flying mount is too fast. I.E. gets across the island in like 2 minutes. XD

so I saw the ride button on the griffin and I thought ooo omg I can ride it but when I got close it started attacking me until I looked up how to ride a griffin and I noticed how I could not ride it without it being tamed so I went to get some arrows to knock it out but then it would not eat but then I looked up how to tame a griffin and it said I needed it’s respect so I stoped

After level 85 getting respect from only from male griffn

When encountered one there is a name like aurora, those i think are royal griffins cause I successfully caged one then knocked it, gave it prime meat I wasn’t eating it. Wasted 50 tranq arrows for a lvl 8 one 😫.

How to tame a griffin:

Step 1: get about 200 amber

Step 2:find a high level

Step 3: trap it and change your last letters to the same as the griffin you want to tame (name change ticket)

Step 4:sleep (so it eats faster)

Step 5:give it a soothing balm and buy a chef station and buy as many allo kibble as you can

Step 6:Enjoy your new Griffin!

only ways to get respect:

Wear the gold crown skin on your hat.

Be higher than level 85 or 85 itself.

Be level 40+ and have the same surname as the one your targeting to tame.

So yah these are the only ways to get respect and devs announced that they will add a new way to get respect and it includes CANNIBALISM.

THE easiest way to tame a max lvl griffin if your playing in a public server

Step 1: get 1 male and female griffin with same surname

Step 2: breed them and get the fertilised egg

Step 3: make super griffin kibble

Note :Recipe for super griffin kibble is written in the dododex which your are using right now

Step 4: get a 10x smoothing balm

Step 5 : put the kibble and boom 💥 you got a max lvl griffin

This is Time consuming but worth it

If you want a griffin easily, just save up some amber ( 45 ) and purchase the ‘major soothing balm’, nock out a griffin low level or high level using traps or no traps and use the soothing balm, then place RAW PRIME MEAT. Or if you don’t have any you can still feed them with RAW MEAT.

A few tips on where they spawn, they wont spawn much on the east side of the mountain, by the cliff area near the ocean. They spawn in the forest to the south of the mountain, near the rivers.

SO HARD TO TAME THEY TAKE AN HOUR ANT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT unless you have a soothing balm just it’s not worth it

If your taking make a stone Dino gate trap because even with toxicant arrows the griffin will attempt to run away and their fast

You are going to want to have like 3 traps and use tranq darts in a longneck riffle but use raw prime meat it’s easy to find and put your taming speed up so it is faster also once its tamed you can just feed it raw meat so just kill a diplo and use god more to do it cause the cheat is just : gcm unless you are on a server then it’s : cheat gcm good luck

Sounds dumb but without kibble, knock out a Griffen, then get a bunch of pt’s. Breed them until u at least get 6-10 eggs(for max level), then make air conditioners, hatch the eggs at the griffen when it’s hungry. Kill the pt’s and for some reason, they give a bunch of prime. Enjoy your Griffen. :)
