Haven't tamed one yet but if you are starting do not go to the top left mountain. I did and was scared half to death by one of these things and immediately noped right out of there. Also if you intend to tame it do not go near until you are ready to tame it I had to kill one that was attacking my bird because it was out of stam.

If you want to trap a griffin use stone gates.found out the hard way.

This dude is a must tame even tho it’s kinda hard but they’re so fun to glide around the map with :P

You dont need griffin if you really want him prepare for hell

U can attack while gliding down with these guys, and that attack deals much more damage. Mine with 1100 melee killed 4k hp quetz in 2 hits

I went out and tamed a female griffins to get griffin babies and turns out that my male griffin was not compatible. I wanted to trade the female griffin to my friend but i remembered that unclaiming a griffin will turn it wild. Anyways I now have two griffins that I can’t do anything with

Damn. These creature is so hard to tame, cant they atleast carry caving creatures such as direwolves and baryonixes so they’ll be atleast worth taming and not just being able to fly really fast and nothing else?

Ok this is when breeding. You will need Carnivore Pheromone, it will bring down the hatch time to 2 hours. Next you will need lots of cuddle bears, one in its inventory at a time till the first one is used up then put the next one in. the maturation goes up by 0.1. So once it hatch’s it need to be by its mother to eat. Then get feeding trough when it turns juvenile, good luck! Don’t forget to put food in its inventory when baby!

Breeding is highly recommend. Also can you color the back of the griffin?

If your low level or you don't have a name that has the 3 last letters related with the griffin's last 3 words in its own name, then run and never go back. They will only be passive if your lvl 75-85 or if you have a crown skin or if you have the same last letters that the Griffin has in its name....

So guys to get Very high level Griffin You need MANY GRIFFIN KIBBLE i recommend to use Tek kibble processor i have the if you want to get the Griffin

Step 1:Tame the biggest Griffin level u can find with Griffin kibble + smoothing balm 15x

Step 2:level up the Griffin or use potent dust i know it hard to get amber but it really worth it cause it give 60 level

Step 3:unclaim it in A trap and tame it again because if you unclaim A Griffin it will be A wild

Step 4:Tame it again

Step 5:do step 2,3 and 4

Step 6:repeat Step 6 until ur potent dust or Griffin kibble run out

And thats the way to get the best Griffin ever But i prefer eerie 100% imprint :V

IT TAKES AROUND 45 KIBBLE WITH 15x SOOTHING BALM TO TAME A LEVEL 270 GRIFFIN SAVE YOUR KIBBLES

These guys take very long to tame use soothing balm and allo kibble or griffin kibble if you don’t have both use prime meat before you tame get TONS of bio toxin because it takes a super long time also you can starve it so it takes pretty quick up if this was useful

When you encounter it with tame it chases rtame so you want to go with a tame that can die

theres a glich were if you go into the second seat of your griffin wait about 5-10 sec and you get stam even when ur flying just make sure its not following anything if it trys to land go higher isk if it works on other devices but it works on my phone or it might just be bugged idk
