Tek creatures won't work as hosts. They won't eat the pheromone.

A easy way to tame this creature is to build a very simple trap made with 4 stone foundation in a 2 by 2, 16 stone double door frame (I forgot what it is called) and place then in the two sided of your trap with 4 in each foundation then get a normal stone dino gateway and place it at the front and get another one for the back and then just kill a male have a dino to sacrifice (trike for early game) and get a female and make them follow you on with you being on you pt. The just fly through the trap and gate the rhynio will get stuck on the gate then just go on front of the rhynio and place the gate from behind unless your skiled enough to just place it in a better way then lower it's health with rage (recommend knocking it out.first then lowering there health and waiting for hen to make up) then get on your trike go in front of the trap make sure he rhynio is below 10% health then breake the entrance gate and let it free with it aggrowed on to your trike and MAKE YOUR TRIKE EAT THE PHERAMONE THAT YOU GET FROM KILLING THE MALE(not you) by putting the pheramone on your trike's inventory then wait for it to do ityraged track then it with impale your trike with a special animation and then go away. You can search on YouTube 'rhynignatja traps ark' to help you build the trap or more complex and expensive trap which doesn't require you to make your rhynignatha go free and escape.Btw wach your health.

Rhyniognatha not follow problem

This creature is so overpowered it shoots resin that make creatures slow down its fast it moves under water fast and it can carry lots of supplies.This creature can also stick on to trees when the cross hair turns green and you click space.This giant bug can also let you hold your weapons while on it meaning you can tranq things from above over all just a broken creature but brutal when encountering.

In the early game, you can use like a trike to get a lvl 1 rhynio, and it will actually carry you through most of the game.

Get a brontosaurus go to the swamp spam attack to get rare flowers make brontosaurus eat rare flowers to lure rhyinios kill 1 hope it’s a male ko 1 and almost kill it hope it’s a female and it impregnated your brontosaurus ps you don’t have to worry about the craving because it’s just for better rhyinios you don’t have to give the Dino the craving

pps you can use a diplo or trick but I recommend a diplo if you don’t want to tame a brontosaurus cause there health will level by the hundreds and the trick doesn’t do that and rhyinios are dangerous soooooooooooooo

To the guy that said if the cravings are needed or if they improve the rhynio level: Cravings heavily depend their level, you could have two extremely high level parents (check other tips for taking these suckers if your confused on the term “parents”) but only get a level 30-40 rhynio. If they arnt spawning, go on a killing spree in the swamps, I recommend a spino due to them swimming, walking and having a big bite radius (while bipedal), as wiping the swamp should allow spawning space to open (there's a max alive wild creatures in one place before spawning stops), allowing a rhynio to spawn.

The spawn command is cheat summon rhynio_character_BP_C on console idk if it is the same on PC tho

If your bronto is low on hunger and starving then you can just rejoin the world instead of force feeding it berries like an idle clicker. Which also saves you time for preparing and cooking items it craves.

Tested on UME single player.

Once your Dino gets impregnated, don't put it in cryo, you'll lose the baby....didnt even know until i got back to my base :(

To get a tamed rhyniognatha, you first need to kill a male rhynio and get its pheromone. Then you get 2 high level brontos and have them breed, because the one you select as a host will die. Why brontos specifically? Because the drag weight of the host matters for the rhynio's quality (idk any better synonyms), and brontos are the easiest 100% quality host to tame. Once you have a worthy bronto to sacrifice, you isolate it, put the pheromone in its inventory and lure high level female rhynio to it. I believe you need to get it to 20% health for it to impregnate the bronto.

It will then crave.. like, anything. From hesperornis eggs to gasoline and ELEMENT. If you dont have those, the level will take a big hit. If you dont mind a lil cheating, you can make a backup before having the bronto be impregnated to restart if it craves something absurd early.

Hey guys, just remember that while the host is pregnant, it’s hunger will drop RAPIDLY!!!!! Bring lots of snacks for your bronto before getting stung

Okay, so I’ll relate my taming experience!

I really want a rhynio, and I didn’t need a super high level at first, so I pretty much just trapped the first female I could find: a light brown level 10 female.

I used the trapping method used by CobraGaming on YouTube… 4x stone foundation, stone double doorways and stone ceilings, effectively funneling the Rhynio into the giant fly trap. I impregnated a level 101 bronto and then just sat it for 45 minutes until it died… with no rhynio.

I did a backup save and went sixteen minutes back into the incubation period and after a bit of research, I realized it was because my bronto had no food, so I forcefed my bronto for the next fifteen minutes until the rhynio emerged, this time. I met zero cravings, since I don’t have the resources, and I came out with a level two male. The one great thing is how unbelievably pretty this bug is… bright pink and purple stripes with salmon legs, and red and black striped wings… weird, cause it’s mom was brown and it’s “dad” (male Rhynio I got the pheromone from) was light blue.

I did all this with a high level argy and spino on watch, since the swamps are NOT safe, so bring strong tames that will protect you, you incubator dino, and your new super-mosquito baby.

I plan to create a higher level baby soon, but this is what I’ve got as a first try! Im excited to try this bug out. It’s funny, I hate these things when they’re wild so much, but I’m totally happy to have one for myself.😂

The baby’s colors are dependent on the host Dino’s and the mother rhynio colors

Was having a hell of a time judging how low of health one was when impregnating and also accidently killing it. What I found worked was to ride a direwolf and while it's attacking my host to be, shoot with whatever until the direwolf's cross turns orange. From there, I just chuckled spears at it until it turned red and then popped the pheromone. Worked 3/3 times in a row and solved my problem.

Whoever is saying, you can’t use an elixir on them after they’re born is wrong. I’ve used them on several without any issue.
