The baby oneshots all things that it bursts from
Ay yall j learned this the hard way, but the drag weight of the host creature matters!! I had a 135 female impregnate my trike, and even though I gave it all the cravings it came out a 68, but I did a 125 female with. Bronto and it came out ~lvl 150. Make sure your don’t make the same mistake!!
They are now on Valugero Ascended
They can carry tree platforms..... I accidentally discovered this when I went to my sap refillin station an accidentally swiped down... Then it carried the tree platform.... I then swiped down again and itchange camer angle... Like it wants to place it.... Swiped down again and it put it back ...... Now I use it to trans fer platforms from different trees to harvest sap..... Must have resin in inventory btw to work(tested that as well)....
Have not tested other structures yet....
A Rex can handle these guys with ease, I guess that’s not really the point but it ends up being a free kill, and you can clear out space for flying over swamps… just don’t fight too many at once <3
Want to hunt for swamp creatures on the Island but don’t want to deal with these guys? The “Gulch of Lamentation”— the easternmost swamp region by the coast— has no Rhynio spawns! This also applies to the swamp area around the green obelisk, along with the thin strip of swamp river immediately north. Generally speaking, you’ll be safely Rhynio-free if you stay east of that obelisk.
Okay, so I’ll relate my taming experience!
I really want a rhynio, and I didn’t need a super high level at first, so I pretty much just trapped the first female I could find: a light brown level 10 female.
I used the trapping method used by CobraGaming on YouTube… 4x stone foundation, stone double doorways and stone ceilings, effectively funneling the Rhynio into the giant fly trap. I impregnated a level 101 bronto and then just sat it for 45 minutes until it died… with no rhynio.
I did a backup save and went sixteen minutes back into the incubation period and after a bit of research, I realized it was because my bronto had no food, so I forcefed my bronto for the next fifteen minutes until the rhynio emerged, this time. I met zero cravings, since I don’t have the resources, and I came out with a level two male. The one great thing is how unbelievably pretty this bug is… bright pink and purple stripes with salmon legs, and red and black striped wings… weird, cause it’s mom was brown and it’s “dad” (male Rhynio I got the pheromone from) was light blue.
I did all this with a high level argy and spino on watch, since the swamps are NOT safe, so bring strong tames that will protect you, you incubator dino, and your new super-mosquito baby.
I plan to create a higher level baby soon, but this is what I’ve got as a first try! Im excited to try this bug out. It’s funny, I hate these things when they’re wild so much, but I’m totally happy to have one for myself.😂
This thing killed all my flying mounts early game when i was looking for an argy. They are relatively rare and spawn in/around the redwoods. They are like thylas, dont fly too close to the redwoods or your flyers will be dead RIP. full story of how i lost my otter on otter tips i think
I noticed they stop chasing you immediately as you hide behind a rock unlike other creatures who don't lose interest for a while.
Lvl 20 female impregnated my 406 base level rex, completed 4 feedings. My lvl 92 hatchling has 10,9k hp and 373% melee before imprinting.
never go up to one and punch it it can shoot fire resin at you dont go near one unprepared and if you have a fast tame like a pterodactyl you can run away from one if you have enough stamina but if you don’t well i think you know what happens and you can find them in swamps doing normal australian bug stuff
I was trying go in to the redwoods to tame a Thylacoleo but it scared me and out of fear i ran my pt out of there but the rhynio caught up and killed my pt Rip Pharry🫡
They can hang on cliffs, carry rexes, swim, fly very fast, and cary so many things. I was leveling a rhynio and I attacked a woolly rhino. This woolly rhino was max level and it was as difficult to kill as a moschops. Imagine if I had resin on this considering I don’t have sap.
No random guy, your sacrifice doesn’t need to be any gender.
Looks so cool! Can’t wait to see what this thing can do in-game
Does your sacrifice have to be a certain gender? Like, seriously! Somebody please tell me.
