To tame the rhynio you will need to find a male (drops rhynio pheromone) and kill it. Part two: The stronger the creature the better the rhynio baby, I recommend a Carchar but if Carchars are limited mutated brontos work really well. Part three: Find a female rhynio and trap it, after trapping it get the rhynio down to low health, throw out the Dino that you’re feeding the pheromones and wait for the rhynio to impregnate your Dino. Make sure that your Dino is on passive or it might end your plans to tame a rhynio. :)

Bruh I heard about them dreamed of taming one had everything I needed to tame one and I searched for hours for one (or more like two) and couldn't find one then found out that they are NOT ON SWITCH YET! to all brokie/newbie that want one rhyniognatha but don't have materials for craving or a good dino here's what u need to do:

firstly get a bronto. ask my why well cuz it's the easiest tame that could stand a chance against a low level rhynio

secondly get a bronto saddle or platform saddle if u want to keep ur bronto later on

thirdly level ur bronto to minimum lvl 40 max NA by mass gathering berries(note that rhynio saddle unlocks at lvl 90 so while ur leveling up ur bronto use the nacroberry ur bronto collect to make some narcotic with rotten meat) and level all their stats in damage and health

fourthly kill a LOW lvl male rhynio for pheromone

lastly get the pheromone and the creature ur gonna sacrifice(if u got ur bronto a platform saddle then get a trike on the platform saddle) and walk up to a female rhynio, battle it until its has less then 10% health then quickly go ride ur sacrifice dino and feed it the pheromone the female will then impregnate ur dino and fly away and whola u got urself an rhynio(btw if u wanna lvl it up quickly, get a saddle and find explorer notes as long as u discover the explorer note while riding ur rhynio it will give the exp to ur rhynio instead of u)

Got raided but manage to save the valuables? Fly high in the sky to the limit with this bad boy and you can logoff until you decide where to go next you can even log off on it since it's big enough you won't fall off

Do not use your strongest dino but neither just weakest because at the end the dino that is impregnate will die and give birth to the Rhyniognatha

New update on the Rhynio, only males drop the pheromones now not both sexs

The pheromone can be placed in a fridge to extend it to 33 days.

1.Get pheromone from dead rhyniogantha

2. Find suitable female

3. Net and bring to about 8% of health

4. As soon as it gets free feed sacrifice tame pheromone

5. She will impregnate and de agro and fly away.

6. Use a 5 behe trap to repeat with as many sacrafice tames as you want.

As of the time I'm posting this, Rhynio can pick up Industrial forge with any amount of metal inside and rhynio will not get encumbered at just cost of some resin. (ARK UME)

Saves time by cutting your trip to just once will full indie forge of metal at once.

This things can kill you off of your mount. I was trying to tame one and it killed me while on my trike. Be careful when fighting.

Tame a high level one of these and youre invincible, the only weakness ive seen these guys have is cryosickness. my level 313 killed about 6 lvl 150+ mosasaurs and only lost 5k health

Well sometimes when u kill this mosquito u will not get that rhiniognatha pheromone (sometimes). Iam saying this because when I killed one of these I didn't got it excluding meat and other stuff.

When you're in the swamp and is being chased by a pack of these guys you only have a few option

1:find a paramecium go under it so that it will attack the paramecium(you can then escape)

2:any creature that is large like bronto would attract it's aggro if you go near them enough

Note:smaller creature doesn't work (most of them) and thia is on mobile

If you wants this "little" bug and you're on mobile, I suggest trapping it and knocking it out so that way you can get the damage in without accidentally killing it or getting yourself killed. But please know that these things take a really long time to wake up so you're going to be sitting there for a while if it's a really high level since their tour poor drops slower than a lacrosaurus with Dilo spit on it...

Its hella easy to kill just use a pump shotgun, however they r hell in the early game so avoid them until u have an easy way to deal a crap ton of damage

I started playing again recently so I didn't know what these were and I naively tried fighting one. Lost a bunch of bullets, arrows, narcotics, tranq darts, brand new armor, a rifle and an amazing lvl 200 Argy. RIP Sunset Blast, forever in our hearts.
