What are tips for rhyniognatha? Tips and strategies for rhyniognatha in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
These ugly insects are very fast and stupidly strong
Every time I go to the swamp or trying to cross it these guys chase me down
I am scared by these bugs even if a have a carcha I won’t fight one
nah i was just trying to go to north to get argies (i got them eventually so im not that mad) and i flew over swamp. BIG mistake. two spawned killed my best pt and me and i had to run back with no gear to get my old gear, i did get it so its ok!! but i had no more pt saddles and had to go to north on a pela. took WAY too long. definitely avoid swamp on ultimate mobile edition, take different way to redwoods!! (please.. dont loose ur pts or argies)
I was flying on my pt once, unfamiliar that these even existed (I’m used to old Ark mobile) and it killed my damn pt, I was left stranded with some metal tools and was attacked by raptors, boas, dilos, bugs, and compies. All which I somehow survived as I watched in horror as “Your Pteranodon Icy -lvl 32 was killed by lvl 3 - Rhyniognatha”. I later once I had spent 2 hours trying to find Silicon for spino saddle suited up my 250 melee Spino and encountered an alpha carno which we killed. I felt overly confident and decided swamp was next to be conquered and so we went to swamp and 3 Rhyniognatha’s attacked my Spino and I. I underestimated their power and my Spino and I both met our fate even after killing the first 2. The 3rd one was smart but annoying because it hovered in the air shooting balls of fire and shards at us which soon ended my poor spino “Venom”. You will be missed venom, you were a good girl, best spino I’ve tamed in this run. -MistyRex
This is the ultimate way to get this early game. First go to the plateau near south zone one a build a giant stone wall I recommend it be point towards the volcano mountain. The will should be built six foundations by 4 it is expensive but it won’t break. Then use regular stone door frames and do your best to cover up every foundation with a celling. Where you want the rhynio to enter just put two door frames building from top to bottom. This will make the rhynio stay in the trap and not fly out when it tries it’s ranged attacks. Then tame a paracer, you want it with at least 3k health. Put the paracer behind a rock and give it a lot of berries. Now lure a male rhynio using a pt. No specific stats I recommend for the pt as long as a pt can get you to the plateu you should be good. Then using a crossbow aim for the head as it does 1.5x the damage. I recommend the pt to have more than 500 health and for you to ride it in 3rd person so you can avoid getting shot with resin. Once you get the phermone I recommend you place it in your paracer and. Now using chitin armor I recommend you go on tour pt and lure a female rhynio. Then start shooting it in the head with a crossbow. Then check it’s health using a spy glass, back away if you see it trying to do a tail attack as these can kill you very easily. Once you notice the health is dangerously low use a regular primitive bow and aim for the body. This will allow you to get the health lower without killing it. Then go with go behind the trap and force the rhynio out. I recommend you make the trap 6 door ways high that way the four bottom door ways allow the rhynio to escape. Note if you make it six high but you block of the top 2 door ways this will allow the rhynio to get in if it is chasing you but due to the rhynios flight pattern and dino ai it can only leave if you bait it again with your pt. Once you bait it out take it near your paracer, jump of your pt, ride the paracer, go in it’s inventory and feed it the pheromone. I highly recommend using a saddle as rhynios do a lot of damage and saddles can negate a lot of it. I recommend you take your paracer to the rock formation on that same island that points towards red ob as it is quite safe and spacious. The rhynio will attack quite a few times before it impregnates your dino. Note daedons could be useful as they can keep your dino alive for extra time. If you are on a server the 1.0 character and tamed dino healing will be enough to keep your dino alive during the pregnancy, but it is guaranteed that no matter how much health or how good your creature saddle is, your dino will die when the rhynio enters the server world. You don’t have to feed it cravings but if you want to feed the maximum cravings possible in your control I recommend fishing as you can get absorbent substrate and hunt trilobites as they can give black pearls and oil for gasoline. The rhynio will typically come out a similar color to the female rhynio you used, but not the same color. The female rhynio I used was black and blur with a bit of beige. My rhynio came out black and white and a bit beige. The rhynio also can bebe crypoded and thrown out on single player on mobile without a cryofridge. You can throw the rhynio out of it’s cryo as many times as you need to this can reset what it needs for imprinting. It usually only needs two imprints, usually the best request is cuddle as it doesn’t seem to follow you even after the whistle. So that makes going on a walk impossible. Not only that but when they grow up they don’t follow you when you whistle follow. Note that they have colored eyes when domesticated and when wild they have black eyes. You can get multiple different colors on these. They also are inmune to their own resin attacks so if a wild one hits you with it’s attack it won’t do anything just like wyverns when they shoot their same species wyvern. I hope this helped you out and if you are low level check out note run videos with note runs even if you ate high level you can easily hit level 90 and on the southern part of the map there is a lot of notes so don’t worry if you need to use em and obsidian spawns a lot in caves so if you need obsidian go to a cave they somehow don’t have as many creatures as they used to. Note this strategy is a beginner strategy if you are more advanced in the game other strategies might suit you better, and this strategy only works on mobile.
They spawn on the island and lost island I wish they spawn on fyordor
Not v hard to tame not even hard its mid hard only here is my setup to get a low level one easily ( 6000 hp rex 1 long neck rifle 1 bow or cross bow 30longneck bullets some arrows ) kill a male one with ur rex or ling neck lure another one to a safe place with an argy where ur rex is in let it hit ur rex set ur rex to passive and shot it with longneck and bow until it is at 10% hp ( u can do the math ur self ) then wait till ur rex is infected by the rhynio and it run away and full its craving till the timer ends it can ask v v ordinary and rare things also its ur. Choice to feed or not effecrs the level that will come out from baby one then just see ur rex die ( DONT HIT IT IT DOSDNT SPEED UP THE PROCESS) then here u got a rhynio baby take care of it and u got a monster who can carry half ur base in its inventory and carry good dinos and big ones also like diplodouces rexes spino ( no bronto no bigger than that )
Finally was able to get 1 for myself by breeding it with bronto in ark ultimate mobile edition today
it got insane good stats
it's good
I'm happy
but yea waited for more than 2 hours for baby to mature
DO NOT MESS WITH THESE GUYS. I was going on a killing spree with my 160 argy until one of these guys showed up they go for the rider not the mount RIP rocky
Y’all…. They can swim. And that scares me.
ok, do you wonder how to get the perfect rhyino? well it takes stats from both the host and the wild female, to draw more stats give it cravings. it will eat all the island rockwell recipes, all kibbles, black pearls, anthica paste, element, quetz, carcar, giga, and golden eggs. and something else, and another is drag weight. the higher the better. what happens is it draws more stats from the host therefore it will be higher level brontos have one of the highest drag weight (1050), so mutated brontos are good. it only will take points so bronto or giga are no different on how strong the baby is, so lets say you have 50 health points. and you give all 5 cravings with bronto. the baby will probably have 50 health. other good drag weight creatures are gigas, carchas, and megachalons. (950)
Lost my 157 pt to these trying to get crystal in redwoods they are pure evil 0/10
Thier resin shot will lock up you flying dinos like a Bola in the sky and you will be kicked off to your death....Bring Parachutes!
Literally a bomber plane nukes you with fireballs there is not escape
Steps to Tame
1. Kill male to get pheromone.
2. Use a large Dino… Rex, Giga, Spino, etc.. base stats that I know of count for a better baby bug. Put this Dino on Passive.
3. Find a Female.
4. Set up a trap using about 6-7 stone Behemoth structure close together, put gates on the ends. I use Tek gate much easier. Leave small gaps to go in and out of.
5. Lure female into gate and shoot with net gun. .
6. Grab your Dino that is on passive and walk it in and close and lock the gates. Try to use a Dino that has decent health.
7. Use Magnifying glass and look at health. You need to get it down to 10% remaining. Use net gun to check health and take your time, have a sleeping bag near by in case you die.
8. Feed your Dino the pheromone, and watch the tail of the bug glow, after it should go to your Dino and impregnate it.
9. Thats it, for breeding it will need a lot of food and some way to heal your Dino like a snow owl, or just force feed it food. Your Dino will want a lot of different things, like kibble, soups, I heard gasoline too lol.
Cheers and Good Luck.
I was flying on top of the redwoods swamp and then on agro to me and it kill me , my argy, and I lost all my inventory, that included a lvl105 megatherium(pest control) that was in a cryopod, and two more empty cryopods. They also be in packs of two to three so be ware. R.I.P (pest control). Sincerely from: Anthony the Dino tamer
These things are starting to spawn in non swamp areas. I believe they are supposed to spawn in the swamp areas around the redwoods but it seems they either spawn farther or wander because I’ve been seeing these a lot in areas that should be peaceful. By the way these things are not rare and normally come in packs of 2-3
try to use high dragweight creatures, if you are not using a trap carcha is the best, you get to base the quickest, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD USE MUTATED Hosts
