They are literally the worst on ark mobile ultimate edition.

Not rare, incredibly aggressive, and like to wander. I tamed myself a lvl 60 thyla and it got killed on the way home by these guys as I was running away. Luckily, I got it back by cheating slightly(back up save… it’s literally a savior for crappy situations). I’m planning on taming a spino (my favorite tame ever) so that I can travel in the swamps again but with the ability to destroy these idiot supersized mosquitoes. Good luck you guys, stay away from the swamp if you can help it🤣

They spawn most commonly in the swamps north of the southern islets connecting to green ob, spawn slightly less commonly in the western swamp marshes, then spawn least common in the main writhing swamps south of the redwoods.

I only flew past a little piece of swamp and that piece of caca killed me and my pt I had Jst tamed a argy lvl 150 he was perfect I lost all my stuff lucky he is in a cryopod ima see if I can get him back

I live in a swamp, and I'm new to the game. One day, I saw one of these creatures and thought, "I wonder what that is?" Curious, I foolishly ran up to it to get a closer look since I didn’t have a telescope yet. For some reason, the creature didn’t attack me right away; we just stared at each other for a minute, and I thought it was some kind of passive creature.

Then, one of my friends came along and said, “Yo! Bro, I finally found you! Hey, do you have wood and—Holy sh@t! What the f@ck, bro? Run!” He started screaming into his mic when he saw it. The bug then for some reason attacked him instead and only later did I realize what the hell that thing was when he explained to me what the big was.

It is on console scared me to death

This thing has ruined the ark mobile for me. The swamps and redwoods impassable at the moment. These things infest the region between the swamp and redwood. As soon as it senses you anywhere near, this pest will just buzz toward you and spit a mouthful vomit that will just root you in place. Thats what it is just a pest, I really would like option to purge this thing from the map since it is really OP. I dont know why they would put this on any starter map or region. This thing belong in abyss in aberration or a top some volcano. I cant even tame a doed to build my fort because of this thing. Just have to run around with axe and pick like a fn savage now. They also fight very dirty, they swarm in packs and stay within range and just fire away acidic vomit at you. Very few starting dinos will be able to counter this fiend, usually only if it settles, then you can whack it a few times. Metal spear is practically useless and you die before you can pull out a bow. Seriously F this thing man.

First time I ran into this nightmare, I was flying about the swamp and redwood area with my newly tamed argy, the first tamed argy actually. I saw it and thought yeah i'mma tame this too.*equips bow, *loads tranq arrows, *pinpoint accuracy. Big bug now is aggrod on me and is coming closer and realise, this isn't a big bug, it's a pissed off unit heading towards me.

First hit, argy was on passive... Rushes the bug, gets folded like an omelette.

Me at this point, just genuinely flabbergasted by the sheer brute force the bug exhibits.

Died trying to tranq it (only managed 2 shots)

This annoying creature jumped me early on on my first parasaur while I was looking for raptors, just run if its early game, try

When wild this thing can and will target megalodons but it can't go in water so it will either wait until the megalodon swims high enough to melee attack it, or it will start shooting resin at it until it dies, so this proves that megalodons are inferior to carnos and similar to sabertooths and raptors in the predator and prey hierarchy. And since nothing attacks each other in the ocean, this also proves that mosasaurs and plesiosaurs are similar to the megalodon so in theory they can be aggroed on by any rex, giga, carcharo, yuty, allo, megatherium, or rhynio.

I was lvl 50 something When I died near volcano with my ptera while tamming an argy and spawned back at my base I used my high lvl triceratops (247 something) to go back to volcano that's when I encountered this beasts it killed me and my trike very brutally and after that I had to start again I lost all my stuff at volcano it despawned and then later when I leveled up high enough to unlock spino saddle I tamed an spino of lvl 80 and took my revenge by killing 6-7 of this mosquitoes (not all at same time) I would not recommend going near swamps until you are high leveled or have a powerful and speed dino which can easily take on them I used spino for them you can use spino or any other high ranged and high dmg dino with good enough hp or you easily get killed

GOOD LUCK FIGHTING THIS MOSQUITOES...

Dont use a flyer to battle i prefer u use a big creature such as a rex or spino, Spino is the dinosaur i most reccomend since its big enough to not get stuck from saps and fast, if u however dont want to fight, Get a sarco and find the nearest water that is deep enough for your saddled sarco to swim away And make sure to go to the deepest part of that source so u dont get sapped more easily

Dont bring it to the wyvern trench. Lightning wyverns can knock it out and it will never wake up in time. Use non-valuable tames if you can.

Most other aggressive flyers can be dispatched relatively easy except wyverns

I am very excited for this to come to ARK! It sounds pretty versatile since it can fly and pick up huge creatures, so it sounds like it can be a mobile taming trap! Not to mention that it also looks awesome, like a moth right out of hell.

Encountering this flying moster while It soars to the sky it's gonna be surreal, we also really needed more threaths in the sky

i was flying my pt trying to find my base during the night to grab narcos to tame a rex and i was just minding my own business till this thing started shooting at me, i was so confused cuz i didnt think these were on the island and it decided to kill my pt, i made it away tho and i ran home to grab my other pt and i went back to get my body and i didnt see the rhynio, but then it came outa no where killed me and my pt, i was abt to cry bro

Be careful as they are in ark ultimate Survivor edition now my petranodon got brutally killed recently Just don't roam around swamps right now
