An easy way to avoid aggro is to either take or have a yuty with/on you, if it's aggroed to anything but a kapro or paracer, you can fear roar and make it go away.

By far these things are more rare than finding Catcher, Gina's, and even Unicorns, I saw 1 ONCE doubled back with my snow owl with pred vision and its just gone, I wasn't aware they could teleport like Shadowmanes🗿

Okay, so do NOT encounter this on a pteradon. I was flying home on my level 37 Dino and a level 1 rhynio freaking killed both it and me. If at all, fly super high or super low to avoid this
