The rhniognatha was first thought to be thylacoleo sized judging from the dossier however a recent picture of it being as large or larger then a Rex and carrying the Rex, it is speculated that depending on what creature you attach it’s enzyme to it will inherit the size of the creature.

The last sentence is speculation proposed by Syntac and has not been confirmed

When tamed, one of these freaks can rule the water, land and sky. These things breeze through hordes of rexes and (when leveled up) have enough stamina to travel across the map in 1-2 stops. Their sheer strength allows them to carry an absurd about of materials that is great for resource farming at far away places! It can also pick up most of the creatures allowing for crazy combos like holding a diplo with an army of passengers seated on its saddle or even carrying ankys to and from the volcano. Amazing tame!

Here's just some things I've learned while taming these huge bugs.

•If you don't have something like a giga/carcha to impregnate, the 3rd best option would be a Brontosaurus for best stat quality for your baby bug. Though actually getting one to the Rhyniognatha will be quite difficult as you can't simply cryopod it and throw it once you found your Rhyniognatha (as of the Cryofridge and cryopod change in ASA). So you may need to walk it through the entire swamp...

• Keep your shoulder pets passive! This won't affect you if your using a large dino such as those listed above, though if using something smaller (though this is not recommended, most smaller dinos can't even consume the pheromone), you need to have your shoulder pets on passive so they don't attack the Rhyniognatha. I once did this mistake, and as I was going to feed my dino a pheromone, my otter on my shoulder killed the Rhyniognatha as it was on Attack Target.

•Final one, be fully prepared! Bring your pheromone and your creature your willing to impregnate before searching for a Rhyniognatha. This is because these guys love to aggro absolutely everything and get themselves killed, so if you went back to stock up on everything you need once you found one, chances are it is already dead.

If u are just a noob run that's all I can say

You don't need to incubate at random dangerous places. Just place your host at your base and then aggro rhyniognatha with high level and mov speed sometime it will distracted but you have to agree again until your reach your base and make sure other dinos are passive and then proceed further and this way you can focus on cravings more efficienctly

This things are like helicopters they fly straight at you shoots something sticky it's says this things are rare rare my ass this things spawns like 2 3 at the swamp area not gonna lie it's easy for me to dodge them I just fly straight down near bronto or other bigger dino they stop chasing me after wards

I just wrote a tip about this, but I’m literally mindblown by this as a tame, and I can’t stop thinking of nice things to say about it.

It only needs 1 resin in its inventory to carry stuff, so that should be useful for those who are like me and are still working on building a sap factory out of taps and archaeopteryx. I’ve been using my current Rhynio to catch and tame the highest level rexes I can find so that’s I can breed rexes not only for the Dinos, but so I can impregnate a very powerful bred Rex with a higher level female, since the baby rhynios get stats from its host as well.

This Dino is insane, and I can simply pick up a large predator that’s invading and drop it somewhere else, or simply kill it because this bug is so strong.

It also has the status of an apex predator, so everything will leave you alone except for other massive carnivores.

It has useful ranged attacks, can swim horizontally as fast as it flies… why is this thing so perfect?

It looked small and weak… it is not. If you see it run because it will shoot amber at you

These guys can dive underwater without knocking you off! 😀

If it's close to your base an low level tranq it then kill it I'm suprised this worked

On my way home, its was my first time seeing it on mobile ulti edition. I got near it a bit, it was a big mistake because I couldn’t out run it with my Iguanodon. It moves fast and not to mention it shoots you with something haha.

Don't have your dino eat the Pheremone and the cryo it. I tryed doing this and It lost the pheremone effect (to my knowledge).

Can fly forwards & backwards and also strafe

Bring a comically large fly swatter.

to all brokie/newbie that want one rhyniognatha but don't have materials for craving or a good dino here's what u need to do:

firstly get a bronto. ask my why well cuz it's the easiest tame that could stand a chance against a low level rhynio

secondly get a bronto saddle or platform saddle if u want to keep ur bronto later on

thirdly level ur bronto to minimum lvl 40 max NA by mass gathering berries(note that rhynio saddle unlocks at lvl 90 so while ur leveling up ur bronto use the nacroberry ur bronto collect to make some narcotic with rotten meat) and level all their stats in damage and health

fourthly kill a LOW lvl male rhynio for pheromone

lastly get the pheromone and the creature ur gonna sacrifice(if u got ur bronto a platform saddle then get a trike on the platform saddle) and walk up to a female rhynio, battle it until its has less then 10% health then quickly go ride ur sacrifice dino and feed it the pheromone the female will then impregnate ur dino and fly away and whola u got urself an rhynio(btw if u wanna lvl it up quickly, get a saddle and find explorer notes as long as u discover the explorer note while riding ur rhynio it will give the exp to ur rhynio instead of u)

Those bugs are nothing to mess around with; I just lost my Argy.

BEWARE! I’ve lost multiple tames & items getting rushed by these, even up into the Redwoods. They DO NOT stay in the swamp! They know no bounds! Their range is infinite! Seeing one of these is worse than seeing any alpha!

So when I was flying my tapujara I was attacked by one. I can't even begin to tell you how scary it was. I tried everything and I couldn't get away and my tapujara died. Unless you want to join him be careful flying over swamps. And I thought swamps where dangerous enough😬

In terms of baby stats:

This has to be looked at as a Mating of your Host creature and the wild female Rhyni you getting the baby from rather than regular taming. Which means like regular breeding the baby can inherit stats from either.

The requrements to inherit the max amount of stats from the host (apart of the usual breeding chance to inherit stats from either female or "male") seems to be at this point:

-fulfill all carvings

-use either a giga, caracho or bronto as host creature

failing to do so reduces the posiible stats by a fairly high %

You gotta take one of these they are most likely allrounder.It has high and can carry most creatures also allowing u to use weapons while riding💀(this makes quetzal taming much easier).this guy can also swim underwater(although they got oxygen bar it doesn't show the bar on Hud of ark ultimate mobile edition so be careful) which helps lot to find underwater creatures or looting beaver dams.
