You can use the Rex as defense(what I mean is if you are surrounded by the Rex use the aggressive whistle and it will kill everything in sight, I learned this by dying 3 times)

I recommend getting a bronto first so you can get all of the narco berries needed to knock it out. Hope this helps and hope your Rex tame is successful!

Does anyone know the max stats for a tamed Rex? I’m tryna get mine to the strongest it can possibly be, but it’s kinda difficult since I don’t know how long it’s gonna take to get him to max stats

Swap Giga and Rex, Giga were kind of like pack hunters and not so intelligent, lived in (North America?) and ate like, baby sauropods and other herbivores and were fast. Then we get to Rex. Omg, like how do you even describe this? it’s so overpowered, prob taking down other rexes JUST for prey, plus hunted literal sauropods and are more intelligent than you think. Their bite force crushes bone easily, what the literal heck, plus they are only a little slower than giga (which is still, way too fast.)

Aside from being the king of boss fights the rex actually is great for pvp due to its high health pool and tek saddle. You don’t really want to use this to fight other tames though.

These guys are good. On its own, my level 25 Rex killed 7 stegos, 5 brontos, and 2 ankylos simultaneously, losing less than half of its health. I’d definitely recommend getting one.

The easiest way to tame these guys is to use kibble but if you want to work hard to get prime meat, go ahead that’s your go

You can traverse the swamp safely as long as you have a rex as barely anything agroes them including that kapro and if anything do agroes you can obliterate it. Spino blocking you're way you can obliterate it so if you're heading to the redwoods with no flyer than bring a rex

Im playing medium so max level 150 and I tamed a female Rex (lvl140) level went up to 207 with tame effectiveness and I found this male Rex(lvl150) but was attacked once by a dire wolf so with tame effectiveness his level went to 220 losing 5 levels but anyways they had good stats, I bred them and on their second baby it had their best stats so I kept it fully imprinted and took it out to level up. Creating a monstrous Rex. Sitting at 10k health nothing special but also sitting at 1255% damage😭 which is (for me) 1017 damage💀 and also having a weight capacity of 1k and a speed of 150% but only with 1.7k stamina which is the thing I’m working on. All that at level 243😭

Rexes are one the most anti climactical and yet practical tames in ARK.

While they can be easily tranquilized with no challenge, they provide a backbone for a dino army and are a great way to defeat bosses. They are strong if bred and mutated, and are also respectable hunters and intimidators.

i like to leave one outside my base to protect my weaker creatures from predators. they're a slow but sturdy mount for most traveling cause a lot of smaller pests won't attack you if you're riding one

Love em. Tamed female and it won’t stop giving eggs. Very fun to use and ride. Roxy is very happy to kill everyone and everything for me.😁👍She is one of my many lethal protectors.

These are very dangerous,if you dont have the stuff to kill ortame,save it for later.

Killing:get a crossbow and attach a grappling hook to it,get any weapon that does high damage.Hook yourself on its back or leg by shooting your crossbow,then kill it to kingdom come

Taming:you should either trap one or kill and revive,start shooting it with crossbows with toxicant or tranq arrows,if not,use longneckriffles with shocking or normal tranq darts,there are also other options

DOMT be weak USE YOUR LVL 2 TRIKE TO TANK THE HITS

They should have a pack bonus. It have been proven many years ago that the rex did live together and hurt together.

They are beasts get them early game and you will be set they have really good attack and health make sure they have some stamina too

Rexes are good battle creatures for both boss fights or tribe war.
